Dr. John, aka, The Stretch Doc, just finished coaching me to my first figure competition. A chiropractor by trade, Dr. John also specializes in Fascia Stretch Therapy and his client roster includes UFC Frank Mir, Bellator King Mo Lawal, UFC Dan Hardy, and Badwater 2013 Women’s Champion Catherine Todd. Over the course of 12 weeks with his guidance, I lost 17 pounds and 11% body fat. Was it easy? Heck, no. He would be the first person to tell you that 12 weeks is not a good idea to do what I did, but I was on a deadline, so it was totally my choice; I always have to do things the hard way. I embarked on a plan of clean eating and gym sessions, often twice a day, that was unlike training for a triathlon or marathon. Chicken breast, oatmeal, egg whites, whey protein, and supplements were staples. Good-bye to sugar, except for once when the b/f and I went to a halo-halo UYE with our Unilocal friends. Oh, and one time I was making cookies for friends and I had some dough. And, a cookie. Or two. But, other than that, it was a challenge. I’m sharing this info with you because I know not everyone wants to be a bodybuilder or lose weight so drastically in a short amount of time. But, there are people out there who need guidance and want to change, but don’t know how. If you are looking for a coach who will help you lose body fat, learn how to eat cleaner, and start you on the road to a healthier lifestyle, then Dr. John is your man. But, if you want to do a figure competition, he can help you do that, too. Give yourself 20 weeks, though. He gave me workout plans that changed every week as well as nutritional guidance. I’ve learned so much about food since July and my Unilocaling habits have changed because of it, in a good way. 400th Review of 2013!!! What is FST? To some, it’s Fascia Stretch Training. At least, that’s what I thought. At Hurt Less Play More, it’s Fascia Stretch Therapy. I recommend Hurt Less Play More to everyone of all ages looking for chiropractic care, anyone looking to increase flexibility, relieve pain, and even grow some muscle. The fascia is a thin tissue that surrounds our muscles. I’m a firm believer that when you workout and breakdown your muscles, they can grow stronger with the right amount of rest and nutrients. I am also a firm believer that when you breakdown your muscle through workouts, a healthy and stretched fascia will lead to bigger muscles. I didn’t see muscle gains until I started putting some focus on my fascia. That being said, I’m even a bigger fan of fascia stretch therapy for flexibility or to prevent injury. I’m not currently nursing any injuries, but still got the best of both worlds after my most recent visit here at Hurt Less Play More. I’ve been working out hard lately and a professional fascia stretch was highly needed to prevent injury and promote muscle recovery. After my visit, I had more energy in my legs and couldn’t wait to dominate the gym again. Hurt Less Play More in Las Vegas is ran by John Vigil aka the Stretch Doctor. John has clients all over Vegas and knows his stuff(yes, he’s certified). The process is simple. contact him, set up an appointment, complete the new patient forms, and get stretched out. John is very professional, will inform you ahead of time on what he’s doing and what he’s working on, and can hold a conversation. FST rates are $ 70 for 30 minutes or $ 105 for an hour. Sweet deal in my opinion. I felt so good after and can’t wait until my next visit. Overall, I’m a huge fan of Hurt Less Play More. You don’t have to be injured to get treatment. Even though he specializes in athletes, you don’t have to be one to get treatment. I recommend and suggest that you give John a try.
