My son who was 10 at the time was not learning much for the dollar amount we were paying. Two months later he breaks his arm just above the elbow. In jiu-jitsu they teach arm bars so as a parent, i didn’t want him back in ANYMMA of ANY kind. Jeff, at throwdown takes DAYSTOWEEKS to respond to emails. I HAVEPROOFWITHDATESANDTIMES!!! So, after like 6 months or so of him giving my sons arm to heal as it was a bad break, he didn’t charge us for those months. We were in a contract, but things change such as a broken arm above the elbow and arm bar training involved is not a good idea. Jeff showed no compassion to withdraw the contract and only asked for a Dr.‘s excuse. Really? You really need a Dr.‘s excuse? Me as his parent said, HEISNOTGOINGBACK to risk further injury to a recently healed arm. Safety first. He said he would have to continue charging. Well We are now in December 2012 with another charge? I guess Las Vegas Metro Police will be notified for THEFT cause he doesn’t respond to his customer’s emails or return phone calls. AVOIDTHROWDOWNATALLCOST, BEFOREITREALLYCOSTSYOU!!! This was resolved, but the above is what took place.

I’ve been coming here for about a year now and its one of the best gyms i’ve have seen. They have world class instructors and the nicest staff ever! Not only is the staff top notch but the people who come to train here are very friendly always willing to help you out. Also, this is probably the cleanest gym in vegas the staff is always cleaning and disinfecting the mats and all their gym equipment that they have in their FULLSIZEGYM. If your still not sure they will let you try it out for a wk with an all access gym pass and by the end of the wk I am sure your going to want to join. Muay thai is taught by: Shawn Yarborough Kevin Ross Chaz Mulkey MMA: Tony Frykland BJJ: Cameron Diffely Conditioning Class: Norm Turner Rick Davis Boxing: Joe Slick They have classes for beginners to advance.

My husband and children trained at Warrior traning center for quite a while, and learned nothing. Ricardo Calvacanti is nothing but a salesman and doesn’t care about teaching jiu jitsu any more than he cares about selling his merchandise. Everytime they go to a tournament, they don’t win very many matches because he teaches old school jiu jitsu. He hasn’t competed in years, therefore he hasn’t learned any new moves in years. If you want to train jiu jitsu from someone who knows what he is doing… go to ROBERTDRYSDALE’S school on Rainbow just north of Oakey. My family has only been there a few months and they love it there! They have learned so many new techniques, and Master Drysdale and Michelle care deeply for thier students. Michelle is wonderful with my kids, and has been a great role model for my 12 year old daughter. I would NOT recommend Warrior Training Center to anyone… unless of course you have money to throw away and don’t mind getting your butt handed to you in tournaments!

I’ve been training here now for a little over a year and I love it. I came here from a different Muay Thai gym and I defiantly do not regret it. The instructors here are all very talented and experienced. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is taught by Ricardo Cavalcanti 4th degree black belt(Carlson Gracie) and Reynaldo Duarte(Brazilian Top Team). Muay Thai instructor is Mark«The Hyena» Beecher(Kru certified with over 60 pro fights and assistant coach to Forrest Griffin on TUF7). Boxing instructor is Gil Martinez(World Champion Trainer). Norm Turner is the strength and conditioning coach for the gym as well as Forrest Griffin(he can also be seen on TUF7). The gym has a full size boxing ring, heavy bags, full size cage, and BJJ mat area. The gym offers BJJ, Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA, and kids classes. Besides instruction in Martial Arts the gym has a full weight room and cardio equipment. Men’s and Women’s bathrooms with showers.
