This location used to be Kaizen and they changed ownership some while ago. I’ll come her for late night sushi and do a la carte sometimes instead of the ayce. The ayce is standard like most other places in Las Vegas and reasonably priced. Pretty good selection of appetizers, rolls and nigiri for the ayce will make sure you get full. Must haves include the salmon belly, Yuzu yellowtail and whatever specials they have for the day which is written on the wall board. The restaurant is quite spacious and the picnic bench style tables are great for groups. Usually I’ll sit at the bar or one of the tables that are more private. Ambience is very casual and energetic with music videos playing on a projector screen centered in the restaurant. TVs located behind the sushi bar usually show sports center which is great to eat sushi and watch sports to me.

I have gone to almost all sushi spots. When it comes to a la carts and also AYCE sushi. This is by far my favorite. From the taste, presentation and overall service of the food. Amazing! Always come here, and I recommend the lobster roll. I love the speedy service, the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. The sushi is even better! Come here when your in Vegas for the best sushi in town.

We came here a few months ago and the food and service was excellent. Our party had 20 people in it. It’s a bright lively atmosphere so if you’re looking for a darker romantic place this is not it. They sat us at a long table with benches and throughout the whole dinner the drinks were refilled quickly and the food was served so quickly that we had to keep making room for all the plates. Everything tasted fresh and accommodating a party that large with such efficiency was impressive.

Great AYCE Japanese food. Note I didn’t say sushi because there’s so much more available than sushi. Great friendly service too.

This place is fantastic! I usually stay on the strip when I’m in Vegas but I took a chance and relied on Unilocal to guide me. Thankfully I was happy I found this spot. Great sushi, wonderful service and the all you can eat is a good price for the quality of food. If you get one thing from here you must get the spicy tuna salad!

This please has a great atmosphere and really good sushi! The service here is amazing and the staff are super nice. The orders comes out decently fast and they don’t disappoint. The location is a walking distance away from The Palms so if you have a movie date or have friends in town you got some place to go before/after. I would have given them 5 stars, but the only thing that brought it down was the ice cream~ they have them already pre-scooped and frozen into the bowl so it was a bit of a struggle to scoop out(my daughter is still young, she couldn’t dig her spoon in without the bowl flying). Adults will be able to serve themselves but it’s still stiff. Put the bowl upside down and gravity will be on its side. So… Get the mochi! Other than that! I will definitely come back again! **Updated** I came back here and their ice cream is way fresher now! Thank you Umiya!

Service was outstanding. Food was above average and for AYCE, it was very good. We had a reservation for 18 and there was no wait at all for us, even though the place was packed. They had 3 long tables waiting for us. Awesome. Our waiter Tony took control right away and sectioned us into 3 groups of 6. He started getting orders for each group and he did not miss one order. We ordered do much food, these are the highlights: The Best: *Tsubu Gai(giant clams) super tender and clean tasting. *Yuzu Hamachi — Yuzu definitely elevated the freshness of the hamachi. *Salmon Belly — yum *Uni — creamy goodness. *Fresh Oyster — I had 6 of these by myself YUM! *Bacon & Scallop Skewer — small, but wow was it good. The Good: *Tuna Pokè *Marinated Pork Belly *Rib Eye Steak *Baked Mussels *Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream The Bad: None Price was reasonable. Comparable to other AYCE I’ve been to. Tip: free soda with Unilocal Check in. Our last family dinner on this LV trip turned out to be the best. They accommodated a big group and provided good food and excellent service. Go try them out, it’s definitely worth a visit =)

AYCE or e la carts sushi with rolls drowned with toppings and/or sauces. If you want authentic and delicate style where you eat from the best fish downwards(i.e. Otoro) … Skip it. What Japanese restaurant serves soft shell crab with sweet potato purée?! Oil needs a change. Least the Uni is good and service is fast. Lastly, my fault for not reading the reviews, and based the choice on ratings alone(damn you law of averages). Had we known, we would’ve went elsewhere.

****WARNING food POISONING**** December 31st, 2015 at 4pm I walked in for all you can eat and absolutely did not appreciate my waitress’s sassy attitude… After being seated she left us with the menus not asking if we wanted hot tea or water… 5 minutes later I wanted to leave once another customer opened the entrance door directly behind me I felt a cool breeze. I was at discomfort first the terrible greeting, no beverages, uncomfortable wooden chairs and negative feng shui. As I was waiting patiently and browsing through their menu my waitress came back asking if we were ready to order. Um sure how about I start off with my free drink please. I asked for green tea she said” cold«I said«hot» she said«how about cold«so I said«okay cold» assuming that the hot green tea is free refills… She then took down our order I got done with the first stage, went to the restroom and started throwing up. They forgot a couple of things I asked for and waited as I was receiving my second stage of order, I started to get very sore stomach ache after eating their hamachi and orange flower. I absolutely did not enjoy their sushi with any fish on it because it was NOT fresh… I should have stopped ordering knowing the fact my stomach was sore. Went to the restroom again then came back to my table and I’m not even half way done with my cold green tea she asked«would you like a refill» I said«actually may I get hot green tea I’m not feeling very well» she said«it’s extra charge but I can give to you this time because you didn’t know.» I said«thank you». I Drank my hot green tea as my stomach felt alittle at ease… I finished my third stage of order because if you don’t finish all of your food it is extra charge. I just felt even worse! Very sick… I spent my New Years in the hospital the entire day and night vomiting We all got FOODPOISONING!!! I am still very sick and highly do not recommend this Resturant.

Best sushi place in town. The food was excellent as well as the service we received from all the staff. Tony was our server and he was so efficient taking our orders. Must try items: scallop skewer, seafood dynamite, Vegas Lasagna, rib eye steak, and many more. There was nothing on the menu that we didn’t like. Dinner price is 25.95 per person well worth it. Would definitely recommend and return to this all you can eat sushi.

I’m not a big fan of sushi buffets but this place isn’t that. They just give you the option to do all you can eat. My girlfriend came here a few months ago so she wanted to bring me here on our trip. We went with a couple friends and did the all you can eat option. We got so much food and the food was definitely worth the all you can eat price. My favorite was the yum yum roll. It had delicious baked crab with yummy sauce on top of the sushi. We were in food coma after all the stuff we ordered. Come try this place if you love sushi as much as I do!

I recently went to Vegas for vacation and tell me why my local friends all wanted to eat here. If theres one thing you can count on is that Vegas locals know their sushi. I ate at Umiya Sushi Twice! Umiya has a great AYCE sushi menu and is open late. Everything i ordered was amazing! Its located off the strip so i would say its decently priced, Dinner $ 25.95(3pm –closing) Its awesome because if you do a Unilocal Check in you can even receive a Free Gift– an umiya sushi mug. Must trys: Lycheetini Monkey brain Japanese lasagna

Overall this was a great ayce sushi experience as I am a avid sushi eater along with my girlfriend. Its the little things that count and Umiya acomplished those on my checklist. The main dish that was really different and outsanding to me was their monkey brain, the deep fried avocado is so rich and fatty. Having oysters on your ayce is always a plus. I enjoyed most of the garnishes along side the sushi. Thumbs up definitively.

I am reviewing as I’m eating… nom.nom.nom. Why? Umiya event. Show them a review that you’re happy and get a Umiya mug. Well, I’m beyond happy! The sushi was 4⁄5 but the service was above and beyond spectacular, 6⁄5! So many staff members checking on you and your drinks. Keep the Asahi coming. As for the speed of the food coming to your table, wow, blazing fast! Ok, we orders A LOTOF food and thought it would take a while. Nope. Super fast. Thank goodness because the wait was about 40 mins. Well worth it. Talk about hard to find good AYCE sushi places. None exist in Seattle. Sorry Todai but you weren’t that good even when you were open. So, next time I’m in Vegas and craving sushi, here we come Umiya!

I was seriously rooting for this place that I decided to eat out here on my birthday, but now I really just wish that I went somewhere else. I think my overall experience was a two out of five but because the food was good, I gotta give it to them for another star. I really liked that they had a baked sushi section for those people like me who wants to experience eating it, but isn’t quite a fan of anything raw. So, I did appreciate this thing thing that they’ve incorporated. Everything was pretty much delicious, and it can definitely compete with the big shot sushi restraurants out here in Las Vegas. If you want good sushi, I think this is one of the places you should try out. Now you’re probably wondering why a three star? Service just drove me nuts! I ordered for a AYCE which was great because then you could try out as many sushi as you want, but the service was soooooooooo slow! Considering that they had a decent amount of staff on the floor as well as a SUPER slow day, I don’t really see the need for the slow service. And then I realized why the slow service. At the corner of the restaurant, I saw my waitress eating with her other coworkers. I guess she would just kinda look out at her customers and see which ones needed serving? This peeved me so much. It’s seriously unprofessional. Also, she never refilled my cup of water. When the sushi is served, it mostly the sushi chefs that bring it to your table which I thought was odd, but didn’t bother me so much. But they just had this really unfriendly demeanor. As in, I would say thank you to them, but I would receive no response. It got to the point that I just ignored them completely when they brought my food. Not a fan of the service here. I don’t think I would ever come back which is a shame because I do think that they have good sushi, but for a combination of slow, unprofessional, and somewhat rude service, I could seriously go to another sushi restaurant that is just as good. Seriously, I was really rooting for this place.

This was me and boyfriends first time here and we actually don’t like it… We love it!!! The sushi is so fresh and tastes so good. The recommended rolls were so flavorful and don’t need any soy sauce! We actually came all the way from San Jose CA and so glad some bouncer recommended this place for us since we were craving sushi! Staff was so nice here. They kept coming back to make sure we didn’t need anything else, checked if we wanted more rolls, ready to clean up the plates and dishes, and offer more delicious options from the all you can eat menu! It was only $ 25 per person! I’m glad we went here and def will be coming back again when we stop by Las Vegas.

Best bang for your buck here! Only $ 25 for all you can eat, which includes items that are not usually on an ayce sushi list, such as sweet shrimp(limited to one order per person, but that’s still pretty darn good, in my opinion). They even have ramen, Kalbi, oysters, and pork belly dishes too! The servers were nice and quick, so that’s also a plus. They also don’t leave out any of your orders like some ayce places do either. Top your meal off with some dessert(Mochi, ice cream, banana splits, included in the ayce), and you’re set. +fresh sushi +includes items not normally on an ayce sushi menu +nice, quick, and attentive staff –a little far from the strip. If you taxi’d there, you would have to walk to the Palms(about a 5min walk) to catch a ride back.

I have been to a couple of ayce sushi in Vegas. But hands down this is the best place to go. The wait time wasn’t too bad. $ 25 was the dinner price! The place had a fun atmosphere. And the table they had was a good size for ayce. The menu had a variety and not just sushi and sashimi. They had filet mignon, oyster shooters, ramen, udon, miso soup, and of course all the other sushi you would find at a sushi joint! The fish were fresh and the rolls they made are a good size. They also have a full bar. Last but not least, they had ice cream and mochi ice cream! I’m a dessert person, so I always make room for dessert! You gotta check out the green tea mochi ice cream! The waiters were very friendly and always checked in on you. They always come back to fill up your water. I would come back again the next time I’m in Vegas. This is my new spot and I’ll definitely come by and bring some friends for good times and good eats!
