Recently(less than a week ago), I acquired a new car. For some insane reason I went with a 2015 Nissan Leaf(full electric vehicle). Not because I am some Vegan tree hugger(not that there is anything wrong with that), but because I was sick of paying $ 100 a week for gas. We have two cars in our family, and my car is strictly a commuter car, and it works well, with the exception that the included charger is like waiting to watch a 1080p movie on dial up. It literally takes 25 hours to charge to full capacity. This obviously wasn’t going to work so I opted to purchase a V2 home charging station. Only problem is that it is not something that can be installed and put together with an Allen Wrench from Ikea. It actually requires a certified electrician who actually knows what they are doing. Up until this point in our homeownership lives(which goes back 11 years now), we have always used local handymen for our little electrical issues(like installing a new outlet or fixing the wiring for a lamp). However, this job required something with more of a specialization. I searched Unilocal and also asked around to my friends. Vegas Pro Electrical came very highly recommended by a good friend, so I opted to give them a call and get an estimate. Nissan offers a full installation also. The charger from them costs $ 1050 and the installation is an additional $ 999. There was absolutely NOWAY I was going to pay that, so Mom & Pop was truly the only option I was considering. I called John at Vegas Pro Electrical at 830 at night on Sunday. I fully expected to get a voice mail as I knew they were closed and I was just going to leave a message with my info and expect a call back eventually. In actuality, John answered immediately and informed me that he was out of town but that his estimator could give me a call as soon as the next day. I was impressed and thanked him. Definitely a good first impression. The next day I received a voice mail from Derek that asked me to call him back. I called him back and he was in his car and asked if he could call me when he got to the office and in 10 minutes and sure enough, he did. He said they do not do estimates over the phone but that he would e-mail me the proposal. Only a few minutes later, I had a proposal estimate in my inbox of $ 418, almost $ 600 less than Nissan. I immediately requested to book it. He reiterated that they could have someone dispatched in less than 24 hours. After working out scheduling, a technician named Mike knocked on our door at 5PM on Tuesday night, 24 hours after I had accepted the estimate. Mike was extremely friendly and obviously knowledgeable about what he had to do to complete the installation. At one point he needed to run to Home Depot to pick up some needed additional parts. I informed him that we were planning on heading out to a concert at 730 and he assured me he would be done by then. At 725, he was finished, and the home charging station was installed exactly where I wanted it to be, and it works perfectly. I paid with my credit card, and he was true to the estimate of $ 418. I could not be more pleased with both the service, the experience, and the work performed. I would strongly recommend Vegas Pro Electrical to any Las Vegas resident seeking a professional, licensed, bonded, and insured electrician that offers fair prices and immediate turn around.

I had a problem with my swimming pool pump. I had one other electrician and a pool repair man come out and both told me that the problem was the pump’s motor and it needed to be replaced for around $ 650 in parts and labor. Santos from Vegas Pro came out and diagnosed the problem to the timer in the breaker box, and replaced it in under an hour for a fraction of the cost. I was very relieved and thankful for his honesty and speed. I will recommend these guys to anyone in my family or circle of friends.
