I don’t do all my grocery shopping at Von’s. I generally shop here to pick up last minute items I need for cooking one or two meals. I love that this grocery store is not as crowded as many grocery stores in the northwest area. Customer service has been great, isles are generally well stocked and one thing I always look for in a grocery store is great produce. I like my produce to look fresh and pretty. Sometimes I have to dig for «fresh» produce and be selective but Von’s generally comes through. Perhaps I get lucky but I must say, I haven’t been disappointed yet and this keeps me coming back. While there is no Starbucks in this grocery store I don’t see this as a deal breaker. It has become my favorite store. I don’t mind paying a little extra for food to avoid: crazy lines, busy stores and fresh tasting produce.

I stop by this Vons location often and it’s clean inside and the employees are helpful. There is a guy who works in the produce department that makes a point to say hello and ask if I’m finding everything OK and I see that he does the same to other customers. I’ve asked him for help a couple of times and points me in the right direction and has great customer service. The cashiers are for the most part friendly and helpful. The produce usually looks better here than other places, but it’s finding it at a reasonable price that can be tricky sometimes. I check their ad weekly and compare with the other competitors to see what I will purchase here that week and what I’ll get elsewhere. I have been a Vons Club member for a long time and the «just for u» program is nice because it’s tailored to a lot a your purchases and gives you digital and printable coupons based upon those purchases. Often they give me freebies like a dozen eggs, loaf of bread or this last week it was a package of pasta from the refrigerated section. You can also earn gas rewards with the club card. The bakery offers some tasty bagels and breads however the pastries such as the donuts haven’t been very well liked by myself or hubby. The deli makes soups, sub sandwiches and different flavors of chicken throughout the day and the soups I’ve had are really good and convenient for an easy lunch or dinner. All in all a better than average shopping experience and I’ll be back.

I love this Vons. The employees are so friendly. April in the pharmacy goes out of her way to help. The prices are so much less than Smiths. Of course Albertsons is the most expensive.

This review is all about Brian in Produce and it is about 3 weeks overdue. I stopped in Von’s about 8:00 PM and wanted some grapes and corn. Needless to say since they were on sale they were fairly picked over by that time at night. Brian walks by and sees my dismay. He stopped what he was doing and rolls out several cases of grapes and after that the same thing with the corn. I appreciate him taking care of me without being asked. He was both professional and friendly. I do shop at this Von’s when I am in the area so I am recognized by a few of the employees but this was my first encounter with Brian. Keep up the good work.

On numerous occasions when I go to the store I have returned an item due to an expired date. Today I bought some surimi that had 7 days on it. When I opened the package, it was rank! I get so tired of getting bad products from this store. Their salads are often old, and their meat is often expired. When are they going to get new management?

Don’t use this location for a Western Union money transfer! They demand the transfer be done with cash. Gee, since when did a debit card not equal cash?
There was NO mention on the Western Union website about this location only dealing with cash. There was also NO SIGNAGE stating «cash only.» Ridiculous!

5 out of 5 for the employees. They are always super friendly; every single employee that I pass says «hi.» Some of them remember me and ask about my baby. They always offer to bring my groceries to my car (whether or not I have the baby with me). Also, when my whole household was sick with colds and I didn’t have the energy to get to the grocery store, we were able to get *free* grocery delivery from Vons. What other grocery store does that?
I would give 3 out of 5 for their prices though. I mainly shop there because it’s right around the corner from my house and with the new baby I’m looking for convenience right now. Eventually I will shop somewhere else so that we can save money.

I love this place! I just moved out here and so far it’s better than all other stores I’ve been too. And they are open 24 hours! Everyone is super nice and friendly!

Employees and a clean store are 5 out of 5. Their prices are 0 of 5. This is the most overpriced store in this part of town. Winco, Smiths, and even Albertson’s are WAY cheaper. I avoid this store at all costs but figured I’d grab some fruits and veggies since I live a quarter mile away. I left with nothing because I’m not paying $ 3 a pound for «on sale» fruits. 50% cheaper at smiths. I’m not sure how they stay in business.

Great store better staff!!! They have everything you need. If not ask for it and they will try to get it for you.

This store is ok. Its kind of a small store, but it has what I need and the prices are acceptable. You get gas rewards either at the Von’s gas locations (not at this location) or at area Chevrons, of which there are many. Pharmacy staff is super helpful and food selections (produce, meats, breads) are nice enough. The downside is that they keep things like drink mixers (margarita mix, etc) locked up, but not most of the booze. So you have to seek someone out if you want something like that. I really appreciated waiting 15 minutes for my $ 3 mixer. Sheesh. Honestly, when we first got here this was our go to store. Now I shop here less and less (Smith’s, Albertson’s, and Fresh & Easy are pulling in our business now).

This is a totally fine grocery store. The layout is more confusing than a lot of other places– refrigerated products are wrapped around the full length of the back of the store, with eggs/​milk separated from the cheeses and wines smack dab in the middle of the bakery section. BUT there is a full aisle of cheese which I find it hard to argue with.
The employees have always been friendly here and I notice that they are careful to make sure customers are getting the Von’s club discount. I do have to second what another reviewer said about outdated foods, however. Unfortunately I’ve gotten home with yogurt that was a week past its expiration date and it was a genuine bummer.

Clean store. Great customer service. A bit pricey but a great experience.

Its a grocery store. Most grocery stores are relatively similar until you get to the speciality stores so for a standard Vons… its A-​OK. I’m not a particular fan of this Vons because I have come here and on more than 1 occasion they have had expired items front and center on shelves. I know it happens, I’m not that naïve but c’mon egg whites a whole week expired is a little excessive. Maybe its just me. I personally prefer fresh and easy for most of my groceries. Because they are smaller and have a limited selection i’m drawn to Vons b/​c its right across the street.
Never had any issues with the staff or checking out. I’ll be back.

Poor customer service from cashier, Sheri. She did not greet, nor did she make any eye contact. AND when I informed her that I needed a larger bag of ice, she huffed as if I was causing her a problem. Overpriced store for B-​A-​D service. Not going back there again.

Omg the cashier was a b****! I couldn’t even understand what the f****** bag boy was speaking. Where do they get these people from, the sticks? Lol. The worst customer service ever!

I stopped here for the other night a little after midnight. They are open 24 hours which is nice. I’m generally not a big Von’s fan. I find there prices to be high, barring a few items on special and there service doesn’t normally make up for the prices.
I grabbed the couple of things that I needed and went to check out. No one was around but the slot machine guy. No one was around at all. I could have walked out with my groceries and no one would have stopped me. I began to walk around the checkout stand with it’s light on looking for someone. This went on for a few minutes.
Then the slot guy says, «Press the blue button.» What? I though. «Press the blue button and then press 1, 2, 3. I looked at him again and he was pointing down by the register. There was a phone there with no reciever and a homemade sign that said «press the blue button and then press 1, 2, 3, for service… this is not a toy» Really Von’s? You want me to pay twice the price for your groceries and you can’t pay a guy to stand at the register?
After a while longer the cashier arrived. One item was mispriced. I showed him in the ad paper and he changed the price. I got out to the car and realized he still ripped me off on the wrong priced item by a buck due to poor math skills.
There are way too many options to ever darken the door of this place again. I prolly just caught them on a bad day, but oh well. I don’t own Von’s stock. If I did I’d sell it.

I am a fan of this store for one particular item:
It’s-It Ice Cream Sandwiches… What is it you may ask? Its another one of San Francisco’s treats that are available here in Vegas. Its ice cream sandwiched between two oatmeal cookies and entirely dipped in chocolate.
Most grocery stores have Vanilla, but this Vons has Mint and Cappucino It’s-Its which is even better! If you haven’t had one yet, Its the perfect time to do so… ALOHA!!!
