Wag-N-Tails

I have been going to Wag n Tails over 12 years. They take great care of my doggies. We drive from the Southwest side of town every two weeks for there grooming. My dogs are happy to see them each time. As long as my doggies are happy then so am I.

Well set set an apt for ten am sat. Wrote it down, I personally set it myself, I know the time. We show up at 10, and they say we are 1hr late! We were going there for years, not anymore. We live on other side of town, but we liked them, so we make the long drive to go there. We get back to our side of town, got a call from them saying he’s COVERED in mats. He is not, I’m a vet tech who bathes, blow dries, and brushes him every Sunday. With out fail. We were already on other side of town so told them to do it (what choice did we have), after explaining he’s not covered in mats, maybe a little tangled under belly (because he was due for his weekly bath), because his hair was longer, from him lying down, but NO mats. We pick him up three hours later, they say 80 $ and the owner would not even talk to us. They suggested we obviously do not take care of our dog, that his AG were full to bursting (not true, I did them one month ago) and if they filled up that much so soon, sorry! But I do it myself, and not just from the outside, how groomers do it. They said it took her 1.5 hours to brush him, do NOT Beleive that (I blow dry and brush with in 30 min), and insulted us for not taking care of our dog. I am a vet tech, I know what mats are, and my dog had none. Tangles under belly, yes, but those are brushed every week when we bath him, takes two min. Owner was grumpy, for SHE messed up our apt time, which set HER sch back, not my problem. Write our appt correctly and that wouldn’t of happened. And they did an awful job on the groom, why, out of spite. No tip was given, figure the $ 45 could be their tip. Owner wouldn’t even speak to me, why, for she knows I’m a vet tech and I know what mats are, and I know my dog didn’t have any. Do not go there. If their in a good mood, may get a good groom, but if not, your paying double for crap. I do not rec this place.

After moving to Vegas, finding a good groomer was like finding a needle in a haystack. But we found Wag N Tails. We took our beloved Maltese there and as years went by and he developed dementia and being too stressed, they cared enough about him to take him first, and get him in and out. When we lost him, they couldn’t have been kinder and sympathetic to our loss. Now we have a puppy and we brought him there, and for as long as they are in business and as long as we have a dog, I wouldn’t dream of taking our pup to anyone else. If this means to anyone who always say its too far to travel, we live on the southwest side of Vegas, travel down the 215 and around the 95 to get to them. Yes, they are that good.

Dont know what the bad reviews are about but they do a great job. The groom lasts much longer than other grooms for my maltipoo and lhasa/​bichon! They brush them really well

I have a shy toy poodle with a very thick coat. She has been to several groomers in the past. Because of her thick coat, any errors in grooming are very noticeable. Also, due to her shy nature, she can be a difficult dog to groom. Not only does she look amazing when she leaves Wag N Tails, but we have seen a vast improvement in her personality. She has visited Wag N Tails for years and this is helping to socialize her and is improving her trust in people. At the beginning, only the owner/​head groomer could handle her, but over time my girl has come to let all of the employees work with her. The grooming table is situated behind a window, so you can see the dogs being groomed & know they are being treated well. We will never consider taking our dog to another groomer.

After almost two years of taking our dog here the owner told us she was a bad client and wasn’t welcome there anymore. I’m not even really an animal person and if I read this I would think the person had a difficult animal and didn’t realize it — but I took the dog to another groomer and they said she has no behavioral issues at all. But I noticed whenever I dropped the dog off at Wag N Tails that she would get all stiff and nervous — try to leave — I just thought she didn’t like the groomers but she was fine in the new place. I always thought the owner was a grump but the one gal that works there and does the grooming is SO nice and very kind. The owner seems like one of those folks who had been doing the same job for too long and is way over it and takes it out on everyone. People like that don’t belong around animals. I should thank them for their lack of patience because now my dog is happer.
