so i was reading Eater Las Vegas this morning and i see an article about Wicked Pizza. Pizza and sliders from the same place !!! I’m in !! I hit them up for lunch. They are located inside The Underworld Bar & Grill. So right off the bat I’m thinking they took a page from Naked City Pizza(pizza place in a dive bar) The guy working the kitchen looks like he’s an 80’s rocker as in Motley Crue’ish. Nice enough guy. Can he cook ? I go with a sausage/pepperoni pizza($ 15) — the menu says the dough is flown in from Boston EVERYDAY… really? I can’t lie, I have no idea what a «Boston crust«means. I tell ya what — it’s a decent pizza. Crust has nice outer crunch — could’ve used more sausage and the sauce is light on seasoning. Still, nice effort. The sliders — i ordered the BBQ Bacon/Ranch, the crispy grilled cheese and the PBB&J(peanut butter, bacon and apricot jelly) — 2 sliders and fries or onion rings cost $ 8 The bbq bacon ranch was ok — didn’t really taste the ranch — the bacon and bbq dominated. The grilled cheese — the first bite had little flavor but i noticed when i ate it open faced it was much, much better — i suggest you discard the top of this slider(if cheese not melted to it) The PBB&J — i had one«perfect bite» where i could actually taste all the flavors. Otherwise, the rest of the slider tasted like a peanut butter and jelly sammie. For the most part, the burger meat gets lost in the shuffle — the patties definitely needed salt. the fries and onion rings were average. Not sure what the bar scene is like at Underworld but i can see someone doing some serious headbanging to a band, drinking some beers then getting their slider on… but for now, i think the best bet is the pizza. oh, and a first for me — after the order was taken, i actually used my phone stop watch to see how long it took to prepare the food. 33 minutes. not bad considering a pizza was ordered yet, i was the only customer — you may want to call in the order. pics included
