Brown rice bonus stars advisory: If you provide nutritious brown rice at no extra charge, I am likely to provide an extra star here or there. It means so much to me, and that is one reason Yogis earned my near-fanship. The service was fine, but not overly enthusiastic. The store isn’t fancy, which is fine by me, but I think some of the smoke from the cigar shop next door is leaking through the vents. Still, brown rice is no additional cost! They do charge extra for all white meat chicken, but even so, a chicken teriyaki bowl with freshly steamed carrots, broccoli and cabbage and a heap of hearty grains is under $ 7! I watched the grill man cook up my chicken and the steam lady fix up my vegetables and promptly devoured my teriyaki bowl. The sauce was a tad sweet, but overall, the composition was a solid, well-balanced $ 7 meal. They also have tempura and sushi, but I did not sample those. I would definitely go back if I were in the area, but for now, I think the interior is preventing me from committing to 4-stars. Oh, but… that brown rice: it’s calling for 4-stars, but for now, I resist.
