It’s crowded and it’s cluttered but at least they actually have craft items. The employees were friendly and did their best to help but since they are often teenagers paid minimum wage I don’t expect them to have much knowledge in the way of all this crafting stuff that we old ladies enjoy. I came here to get some crafting items for Christmas presents and found what I needed and the cashier hooked me up with a discount to boot. I have no complaints.

When someone’s brother asks her for a dream catcher and a bedazzler for his 30th birthday, a sister is obligated to procure such requested birthday presents(to teach said brother a lesson for giving ridiculous answers to simple questions). Where else would one go to find a kit to make a dream catcher and bedazzler besides a craft store… perhaps a craft store that she and her brother use to go to get loom potholder kits in neon colors when they were kids? Well that is what this sister did after calling to make sure they had a bedazzler in stock. When this sister arrived to purchase said bedazzler(15 minutes after calling) she was informed that they don’t have them and haven’t had them in a while. She was then stared at blankly when she inquired about kits for dream catchers.(they didn’t have those either). On another occasion, this sister went in hoping to find window film(aka rice paper) to put on her front window for a little privacy when she likes to trot around in her underoos watching ball games. Again she was met with blank stares and a long«nnnnn…nnnnooooo» and a shrug when asking where it could be obtained. Poor girl is going to have to let go of her fond childhood dreams of potholdering as AC Moore just isn’t delivering anymore. (yup for his 30th birthday the brother eventually got a homemade dream catcher with a picture of his sister on a charm in the web, a bedazzler, and a knock off shake weight that was found at Christmas Tree Store for $ 5…what an amazing sister)

This store always feels crowded, and sometimes cluttered like some craft stores can get. Constantly rotating seasonal section full of cheaply made, marked up, then marked down imported crap. Good yarn section, though, and nice selection of needles. They’re great for scrapbooking and art supplies, and the toy and kids’ crafts section looks all right. Always busy, even with Hobby Lobby open almost next door now. Get on the mailing list if you want coupons for the few items that aren’t on perpetual markdown, which is most of the good stuff.

AC Moore is a great place to shop for those extra special finishing touches on home craft projects or those«Gotta Finish your Thesis Model and put some trees and funcky scale people so I can get my degree» type outings. Fair prices and always having some kind of massive sale on «crocheting’» and fun«I need something to fill my time» side expenses.
