Cody’s Cozy Pals

I have just picked my dogs up from their second stay at Cody’s. While the location is a bit unusual, the service is great. Unlike the previous poster, I found the staff to be courteous, friendly and very accommodating. Before boarding my dogs at Cody’s I had taken them to their vet for boarding, where they were kenneled in a crate for most of the day. At Cody’s, they get to stay together in a 5×5 room, which is just one of the options they offer. They also offer a significant discount for those of us who like to keep their pets together.
They have a large indoor open area where dogs get to socialize/​play with dogs of similar size for several hours each day. When they had their first stay a month ago, staff texted me when they had a question and even sent a picture of one of dogs sitting in the lap of one of the staff. (I actually tried to attach the picture so you can see how happy he looks, but not luck!)
When I arrived to pick them up today, my guys were in their «playgroup» which you can see on the monitor in the entrance area. I got to watch them playing with the other dogs. No fighting or signs of stress, just happy interactions with the other dogs. Dogs are taken out to relieve themselves a minimum of 5 times a day.
Previously, whenever I picked my dogs up from boarding at the vet, they were very stressed. Both times I picked them up from Cody’s they were calm and relaxed.
I have met Cody twice and found her to be very personable and knowledgeable.

From the website, Cody’s Cozy Pals looked like a great, safe, and happy place to leave our dogs while we were away. The website looked very professional which helped us make our selection with ease. Unfortunately, the establishment itself was not professional. The staff, who is the first contact when you drop off your pet, were unprofessional and unfriendly. The young girls who took our dogs back did not smile nor say hello (this also happened when we picked them up). Any pet parent knows their pets safety when they are out of town is top priority. The staff was as cold as the building it is in, on a dead end lane, sharing the building with FEDEX trucks etc. We were also not allowed to take a tour of the establishment. This was a red flag along with not making bordetella shots required; the only local boarder that states this. Again, SO disappointing. Spend your money at another local boarder. One who cares about the appearance of their environment, the staff they hire and most importantly your pets.
