Diamond Eight is clean, has plenty of parking, a fabulous staff and owner, and plenty of room around the pool tables. As an occasional visitor to the capitol area, in my opinion Diamond Eight is the best overall pool room and bar in the area. I am a life-long pool player and I have been to them all in the area.

Best place to go for any day of the week. Saturday’s are karaōke they guy that host the karaōke is pretty good. He seems to hog the mic but does share. The staff is really good a friendly. Always there to give you another drink and make sure you are still able to get home safe. Highly recommended and a must stop place for a beer and a game of pool.

I’m not a pool player, infact, I stink at it and its very frustrating. Always in my head I have this picture of pool halls being greasy, rundown, smoky little joints. This was far from the case. The staff, especially the bartender was very nice. The drinks were cheap and so was the bar food. They even had Jello shots. I asked for a gin and tonic and the bartender asked me what type of gin I wanted. I cant even get that question at some legitimate bars so I was impressed. As for the pool, I’m the worst and I was frustrated. Yet this place was nice and cool to hang out with some friends if pool is their thing. They also had Karaōke, it looked fun, but steakface isn’t ready for the big time.

I attended a holiday party with some business associates here a number of years ago. We had an awesome time. I not sure how much of that was due to those who ran the joint as I think more our enjoyment was simply having a good time with our associates who are also good friends of ours. I enjoy playing but have not been involved in tournaments or competetive play.

The Unilocal map is a little off, so make sure to double check for the directions. I was here for a trick shot tournament(which I won) and I love the place! There are 119-foot Gandy tables, plus a carom table, and 8 or so more 7-footers. They host an APA league as well. The place is spacious with a big bar area in the back and the staff was friendly and helpful. The tables are well-maintained, but Stacy and Stefan Mendrick bang up table 1 with their masses, so be careful with that. Say hi to them if you drop by though. They’re fun people and they’ll be glad to show you some trick shots. The sign said prices were $ 5.25 per hour per person, which is definitely reasonable compared to where I come from. But they don’t take American Express.
