Factory Card and Party Outlet

They were at 3 stars (A-​Ok), but today when i picked up and ordered a few extra balloons they bumped themselves up to a 4 star. I ordered 12 latex balloons and a giant «happy birthday» mylar balloon for my best girl’s 40^th birthday. The girl who took my order undoubtedly hated her job; was cranky and I could swear that I heard her sigh as I asked her to enter an order for me to pick up a few days later. I didn’t have the patience to deal with lousy customer service, so I chose to take note, but not react to her disposition. $ 26 for the dozen latex balloons and the mylar balloon.
When I picked the balloons up, they were ready as promised for me to pick up at 3:30. I decided to add another 6 balloons to the order and get a crown, sash, and glo-​in-​the-​dark star princess wand for another $ 13 (I mean every 40 year old woman NEEDS these essential items for her birthday). As they were filling up the extra 6 balloons I added to my ordern I took the first part of the order out to my car (what was I thinking 18 latex balloons and a giant mylar balloon in my jetta… i said my prayers). It was windy and starting to rain when I finally got those in the car and went back in for the other 6, the guy who filled them up for me was waiting at the door saying I was going to walk them out to me but he couldn’t find me in the parking lot, do I need help getting these in the car too? And he did it with a smile. I appreciated the offer, which is why I give them the bump to 4 stars (a little offered effort goes a long way in my book).
The only way I think this could be better is if they had balloon delivery (as I was terrified driving from Latham to Troy with pretty much no visibility out my rear windshield and windows.

I was torn on whether to give Factory Card Outlet 2 or 3 stars. While I have certainly experienced better, I also opt to come here over other places for their great prices. So I settled on three.
It’s not exactly high end — it feels sort of like a dollar store for party supplies — but as I said, they have low prices and a lot of variety. The store is fairly large and offers all kinds of party decorations, favors, balloons, table settings, activities, invitations, etc. Whether you’re planning to throw a child’s theme party, an adult landmark birthday, wedding, bachelorette, retirement, graduation, holiday party, or even looking for a Halloween costume, they have a little of everything.
