Hammersmith Home Brew Supplies

Probably the best stocked brewing supply store in the Capital Region. The place is pretty large with 2 storefronts full of brewing supplies. They pretty much have everything you need to brew beer or craft wine and mead. They have equipment for both beginners and experienced home brewers as well as most of the ingredients you need. I find the prices to be a bit high and you can certainly do better online but the convenience of having supplies available when you need them and my desire to support local small businesses has me coming back again and again.
A few improvements could be made though…
I prefer the Wyeast Smack Packs for my liquid yeast starters but they don’t carry those. I also prefer the way Saratoga Zymergist handles my grain needs better. If you haven’t been there, you should check that place out too. I personally use both places as there are pros and cons of both stores but between the two, I’m a happy brewer!

Happily, those interested in making this delightful brew for home consumption have easy access to all the things they need at Hamersmith.
They guy was pretty knowledgeable (almost too knowledgeable) about the process and had everything you need to start and rock with your wort out.
The 21^st amendment of the constitution allows us the freedom of inebriation through alcohol. If marijuana was legal, would it really be that big a deal? Would there be grow shops? I believe adults should be able to make their own decisions.
