Never disappoints! Roma is our go to place for all the imported Italian specialties. Love it!

I love this store! They have so many great Italian specialty items, and fresh made food and sandwiches as well. I’m honestly surprised they aren’t busier, but I do think location could have something to do with that. Their cold subs and paninis are great, and the employees are super friendly. They are a bit pricey in my opinion, but I’d rather pay a little bit more for a quality sub, than less for something pre-packaged and meat that isn’t as fresh.

Recently, I was doing my grocery shopping in the Latham Hannaford, when one of the Roma butchers(in his Roma shirt and Roma hat) walks by me with a big basket full of Hannaford packs of chicken. After finishing my shopping, I went to Roma to get my meat, which I have done for many years. Much to my surprise, he was behind the counter working. So I got home and called and asked if the Hannaford chicken in his basket had anything to do with the chicken they sell at Roma. Turns out, the meat in the«sale cooler» is repackaged, marked up Hannaford meat! Are you kidding me? Sorry Roma, for that reason, «I’m out.»

Very, very good I had a fresh roasted turkey sub and my wife had a roasted turkey wrap. I would highly recommend it. Can’t wait to go back for the roast pork loin.

great customer service — will definitely go here again! placed a catering order for a work picnic for 30 people, the man in the butcher shop was extremely helpful over the phone in helping me place my order not only with the meat, but the prepared food(salads, veggie trays) as well. when I picked up the order, they were super friendly, brought out all the food to my car and I was on my way. everyone loved the pulled pork, hamburgers, macaroni salad & everything else that we ordered!!! this is the first time I’ve ever been in this store but I will definitely be back for more!

This place has some great, authentic Medditeranian specialties. Their veal and peppers are the best I’ve had around here. I like the meat and seafood market as well. Good meat and seafood and some eclectic stuff like elk, bison etc. But they are a deli as much as anything else and there is that«We Proudly Serve Boars Head» sign. Boars Head for a deli is really phoning it in. You are basically saying you are making the same bland sandwich as three quarters of the other delis around here, and it’s a pretty ho-hum one at that. Come on Roma’s. You can do better.

This place is awesome! One of the best Italian mix subs in the Capital Region. The bread rolls are perfect and go great with any sub you choose. I’ve always had a great experience with the staff and can’t relate in the least to some of these other reviews(one I think is quite petty). The deli prices are very reasonable for the quality you receive and although some of the of their other items aren’t exactly cheap their an import store, it’s not your run of the mill stuff from the supermarket(grass fed, range free, and so on…). If you haven’t been there I would strongly recommend checking it out!

Came in 30 minutes before closing to order 2 cold cut subs and a meatball sub. They would not make me a meatball sub. «We just turned our ovens off» said the big tall meathead with a complete attitude. He wouldn’t even try to make it with the residual heat of the oven without firing it up again upon my suggestion. Lame. Of all the times I’ve been to the Roma in Saratoga with extremely friendly service. I never expected this type of experience from another Roma store.

My parents had been taking me here for years and years for Italian imports. I find myself here for the deli. Wow what a sub. Wonderful homemade salad sides. The new kicker for me is that they stock Oscars smokehouse products out of Warrensburg. A trip that to Roma will often start out as «just for Oscars bacon» and end with 2 full bags of wonderful items and a fresh sub.

So excited about the fact that Roma is expanding and getting better. They are quite pricey, but they have some great little italian products like the fresh mozz and the italian cold cuts. Even though I don’t normally buy their pre-made salads and sides b/c of the price, I do have to say that they look fabulous. Lots of little italian trinkets used to cook with(like the food mill – way better than a blender in straining tomatoes to make sauce). However, for dried pastas and other regular kitchen panty items go across the street to the market to get them at a more fair price. But for something different and pretty authentic, spend the few extra bucks. Plus I’m excited about the almond paste – now to just find a recipe to use it in that I’m excited about. Even some of their meats are looking good.

This is the best Italian store around. Wonderful cold cuts especially salami, Italian hams and cheeses and they know to cut their cold cuts thin. Wonderful variety of olives too. So many things in this store. Great variety of pastas, Italian bread, canned imported tomatoes etc. They also have a section with wonderful meats. Can pick iup cookies, pies and some freshly made Italian food. The place smells wonderful!!! Go there.

Its all about the subs, and the meat department. The Breads are fresh and the fresh mozzerella is to die for. The meats are great cuts and fresh. Its an easy review, if you want a legitimate italian mix made with legitimate italian cold cuts, stop on by

I’m pretty much writing a review for the deli and cheese counter and the aroma when you walk in the door. They’ve got a big selection of imported and italian style groceries but their prices are kind of on the high side. However, their deli counter is to die for — all kinds of quality cold cuts, some you can’t get anywhere else locally and their own homemade fresh mozzarella which was my whole reason for walking in the store.

I don’t go here for anything but the subs. Italian mix, turkey RB. All Solid. I would give them a 4th star if all the employees decided to participate in a team building event where they learn how to be friendly and nice to the customers.

The wife and I stopped by here because I don’t think there are many specialty«ethnic» food shops like this in the Capital Region. We live in NYC so our standards are pretty high. The prices for a lot of products are on the high side, especially considering this is Latham, but maybe that’s due to the lack of competition in authentic Italian/Greek products. We ended up just getting a slice of tiramisu which was pretty good but not amazing. My wife thought it was lacking in rum. I also thought it was too heavy on the cheesy part and not moist enough. They have a lot of other European desserts, including freshly filled cannolis, baklava, and biscotti. The place is a bit dark and tired looking. I don’t know what the market is for upscale/gourmet/specialty food in this area but since there’s no Whole Foods Market around, this place might be able to find a niche among foodies who live around here… But maybe all those type of people have moved to NYC. I’m guessing this place sells stuff that you just can’t find elsewhere in the Albany area so if you’re really into Italian or European food, it’s definitely worth checking out.

We only found this place because of our G.P.S. while in the area. Its located off a main road tucked away to the side. It was a huge store selling all kinds of stuff including all types of meat like a grocery store. The aisles had alot of stuff and it was an overload of products. My girlfriend and I were just looking to grab a grinder but ended up looking around at all the stuff. They were not busy though it was a beautiful afternoon. We had a meat ball grinder and a Italian combo grinder both were just MEH!!! I guess it could have been worse. There were tons of workers standing around and tons of workers period for not doing that much business I thought!
