Nothing is better than walking in the door and smelling FRESH chocolate! The staff knows their business and offer their knowledge so you can make an informed choice. And you’ll need all the help they offer due to a selection of handmade goodies that rival Willie Wonks!
I’ve heard people complain of the prices but I believe you get what you pay for and I want to get the best possible product that I can on my budget not a celebrity bankroll. My loved ones and are worth it!

We’ve passed by this place a million times and I never realized what it was… major marketing problem I guess.
Inside you’ll find everything chocolate, various classic candy, candied apples, fudge… basically the finer things in life.
It has the charm of being a small local shop with the most random chocolate bar themes. Like have you ever wondered where you could find a chocolate bar shaped like a lacrosse player? Well you can find it here. Or have you ever wanted to buy a pint sized chocolate witch? Yup, you guessed it. You’ll find it at Uncle Sam’s!
Prices are reasonable, it’s a local shop, and they have a huge assortment of sweet treats (including a sugar free section for diabetics). For me that’s plenty of reasons to stop in.

This place does have a huge selection of candy but the candy isn’t very good. It is so sweet that it is sickening. I love sweets so for me to say something is too sweet is rare. The creams are really gooey. Not creamy just gooey. Some of them have a very slight Robitussin aftertaste.

This is a new, added location for the original Schenectady store. A nice addition to the shops at Newton Plaza.
Amazing variety. Some classics but also many unique items a flavors.
