Youngelman Debbie MD

I had very limited contact with Dr. Youngelman but it left a bad taste. I came for a consultation about a routine diagnostic colonoscopy, and was very happy to meet a local female doctor. Unfortunately, I felt that my anxiety and questions were brushed aside, I was made to feel just in an old time «MD as GOD» kind of practice, as in «don’t you worry your pretty little head». I was told that she would know what to do if I was uncomfortable during the procedure but refused to explain what to expect beyond a routine info sheet (that I had already read onlline). Needless to say, I chose another office (Albany Gastroenterology, 1375 Washington, Dr. Buhac) and had the procedure yesterday, and am quite happy with the way I was treated and the results.

Debbie Youngelman specializes in general surgery out of the Community Care Physicians Group in Latham. I had a great experience with her as my doctor, from the consultation to the surgery to the post-​surgery follow-​up. She is a class act and I would certainly go back to her if the need arises.
