Denny’s

My family always comes here, the waitress was really nice and always checked up on us. The food was really good every time we go, it had a lot of flavor. The pancakes were nice and thick compared to other locations. We were very happy with our meal!

This Denny’s was ok in the fact that they gave you food. I went today to eat with my friends and a FUCKING BUG/​EAR WORM or whatever the hell it was came out of nowhere and started to crawl under my plate. Idk if it came from the plate or what but there was some sort of insect on the table crawling around. This place is dirty as fuck.

Typical Denny’s food that I count on. Only place I can get a decent, consistently tasty breakfast for $ 6; I get their Blueberry Muffin Pancake Breakfast. Staff was very nice.

Place sucked I wanted a junior cheeseburger off the kids menu and they wouldn’t give it to me. The kids menu doesn’t have an age limit on it. I also asked for a side by side chocolate/​strawberry shake, and got just a plain strawberry. But what really topped it off, my fat fuckin friend got a banana spit, no not the one where the girl spreads her legs in your face, the ice cream one. And not only did he get the «original one», he got apple pie crust on top for no extra charge. Never coming back, never!

Thank you Kaitlin, the onion rings were the perfect accompaniment. Tasty lunch, great service and beautifully presented.

First of all, we had to wait to be seated for who knows how long. Second of all, they got our drinks right away but then we waited for about an hour to get our food which was a hassle because even after we got our food, they forgot to add all the condiments we asked for. I do show some mercy though since there were only two waiters in the whole restaurant. The only thing about the waiters is that our waiter was very nice and friendly but her partner just kept pacing around while our waiter was working her butt off and had to watch customers leave before her, right in front of her very own eyes, just because some stupid lady can’t understand what being a waiter means. My mother ordered pancakes, bacon, and eggs and her food was as hard and dry as a rock. I would not recommend for anyone to eat at this establishment.

This place is pure garbage! Pure and utter GARBAGE! The servers don’t refill drinks unless you ask. Once you get to make your order make sure you bring a very VERY long book because the wait time to actually get to eat is horrid! You’ll fill up on water or whatever you’re drinking before your order arrives.
Just say no to this place. Roll up the road about a mile or 2 to the Crooked Knife (CK)for a better time.

Walked greeted rudely. Manager was sitting in front with 2 employees complaining about another worker. Server shouldn’t be a server. «You guys ready to order» like really. Your life could not be that miserable. I just had knee surgery and it’s mt first time out in a week. Can’t believe how ungrateful people are when it comes to having to do their job. Server walked by saw we needed a refill but we had to ask anyway. Never coming back.

I’m taking into account this is a Dennys. In fact, I’ve reviewed other Dennys. I know to simmer down the expectations in a place like this. Corporate American Diners are the worst, but here it goes…
I started at 5 stars.
I like to give everyone a chance.
–1 star: my cup sat empty for 15 of the 30 minutes I was there. Waitress failed to ever approach the table after the food was delivered. I only got my refill after I asked another waitress. There were 5 parties in the place and a total of 15 paying customers. By ratio, they had two waitresses and a working manager. This is inexcusable, and a pet peeve of mine.
–1 star: food was fast, got it within 10 minutes of arriving, again they weren’t busy, but the bread was never delivered with my son’s spaghetti. The waitress mentioned when she initially delivered the food that she’d bring his bread, but I waited 10 minutes before flagging down another waitress for the bread and that refill. What’s mind blowing is the original waitress comes back to the table and says, «oh you don’t get bread with the kids meal»… to which I responded with a quick reference to the kids menu and pointed out she is clearly mistaken. Thankfully she agreed and I was able to win the bread.
–1 star: my son never got his yogurt. This was also relayed to the other waitress I flagged down. She was nice about it, but just far too many mishaps for such a simple order. I left a tip because I understand how restaurants work, however by no means did they «earn» my tip. «They got the tip outta pity…»
–1 star: I love rap/​dance/​slap/​hip-​hop… but you can’t play it in a restaurant… «Truffle Butter» came on… Enough said. I win.
Awful experience. I’m not a fan of what they’ve done to the place in terms of the service and structure. I doubt I’ll return, but best of luck guys in the future.

The management here is rude and snotty Rose is the main problem she is rude to her servers but seems to favor one favorite katlyn. Priscilla is a wonderful server thanya is a wonderful server but everyone else is rude there is a women late night cook who is quick and does her job n food gets out hot. I had a small issue with my sides and rose did nothing said there was nothing she could do. And she talks about other employees behind there back and same with customers. She is not goof management at all every time I go there she is sitting on her butt. That’s why ill go to manteca.

Our first time here since the renovations. First off, the place looks AMAZING! So much cleaner & welcoming then before We’d honestly been avoiding Denny’s as an option because the place was previously so run down and yucky looking.
Today we came in for Breakfast and where seated promptly. Our server was very nice and brought out our drinks quickly. She kept my husbands coffee topped off. When I wanted 2 separate things on the menu, she helped me pick the cheaper option. Saving $$ is much appreciated. Food came out quickly as well. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty! We’ll be back

As a resident of Lathrop, I will never be going to this Denny’s again. I got a cracked mug and when we brought it to the servers attention she took the coffee away and left the spilt coffee on the table without sending someone over to clean it up or doing it herself. When we finally got our food it was cold. After our cold food was delivered it took another 5 minutes to get silverware. We never got our toast. Our server was wiping down counters in the back before taking care of her customers. I was a server myself in the breakfast industry and this kind of service is below the low standards I set for myself before going to a restaurant like Denny’s.

This Dennys used to be good but after the renovations it turned to crap. I’m not sure if there’s new ownership now but everything from top to bottom is horrible from a service standpoint. I’ve been there 3 times since the new change and each time the service is the same. The waitresses are new and very inexperienced, they’re so bad I feel embarrassed for them. The cooks are average at best, the food is made and served very differently from what I’m used to at a Dennys restaurant.
Do yourself a favor and pass on this Dennys. I’d rather drive to the next town and eat at another Dennys.

Two years ago we moved to Manteca. This Denny’s is a bit out of our way but I’ve always found the service better, so I didn’t mind the drive. We visit 2 – 3 a month, depending on my mood/​current diet fad, haha. Earlier this year this run down location got a full remodel (yay!) & a set of new employees. They are young & friendly enough to not be rude, but nothing close to the «family feel» my crew & I are used.
Took my kids to Denny’s today for their Tuesday Kids Eat Free Weekly Promotion (¹⁰⁄₂₀). Nothing extraordinary; just the usual. We were seated, orders were taken, and we jabbered together while we waited for our food to arrive.
I just so happened to overhear the woman seated behind me ask the host «So you’re not doing it anymore?» to which he answered matter of fact my, «No, we aren’t doing it anymore.» She then asked him for the $ 2/​$ 4/​$ 6/​$ 8 value menu.
I sat wondering what «it» was. Surely it wasn’t the Tuesday Kids Eat Free (TKEF) because no one mentioned it nor were there any signs indicating the change. My brother politely flagged down a waitress (not ours) who verified, «Yes, it went into effect last week. This is our first week not doing the promotion.» The woman behind me decided to pipe in & at some point, the waitress defaulted to the good olé «Let me get my Manager» response.
What happened after said «Manager» came out was THE most disappointing experience I have ever encountered. She refused to give me her name, so let’s call her RAB (rude a$$ b****). She came to my table while we were eating to explain why no one had notified us (defensive right off the bat), offered her twisted reasoning why her staff could NOT notify the patrons (apparently making such statements is offensive), and then ungraciously interrupted me until she finished vomiting her BS. I literally had to put my hand over my mouth because no matter what I tried to say (which at this point was not a complaint), she just would not be stopped.
It wasn’t until she walked (or waddled, rather) over to a nearby table to notify them of the changes did I care to exert any further effort. In her attempt to «cover her ass» she very loudly explained the promotion had ended & that she wanted to let them know so there was «no need to get excited», pointedly at me. I had just taken my SECOND bite of my FIRST meal of the day (past 5pm) & in an instant I had lost my entire appetite. I was seething as I looked over at her smug smile. How dare she mock her customers to other customers to what, save face!!!
I approached her & when she realized I was confronting her for what she said, she refused to listen, turned around & walked into the back of the kitchen. She did this many times over, even insulting me & accusing me of «abusing» her. Really? LOL! You’re a Manager & sorry to say but if you treat your customers this way, you WILL hear about it! Maybe other folks will allow it, but sorry, not this gal. By the looks of the most recent reviews, Ignacio C., Debbie Q., Justin P., & Kyle B. will be more than willing (as would I) to see you go! Time to rally the Unilocal troops!!!
That building might look better on the outside, but the inside is ROTTEN.

First time and last. Eggs where over cooked and so where the hash browns. Oatmeal was under cooked. They deserve not even a fuul star. Maybe ½ star.

We came on a Friday night for dinner. I was impressed with how clean the dining area was. I ordered the salmon and it was actually pretty good for a great price. The Mac and cheese didn’t taste like it was out of a box.

After visiting this Denny’s twice since the new ownership came in and renovations were done I can honestly say it’s looks better but everything else got worse. The service was horrible. Came in and was seated rather quickly but took almost 20 mins for a server to attend to us. During that time I noticed 2 groups of people leave even after they ordered. Then almost another 30mins just waiting for our food. I’m pretty sure everyone knows how the food is here as its Denny’s but taste wise, the food was bland. It was better before. Faster, friendlier, and all around better. Won’t be coming back.

I used to come here quite frequently because the food was great but the service was terrific. I would drive to the next town over to come to this paticular Denny’s, passing a closer one to come here instead. After the remodel the service is horrible and the food is mediocre at its absolute best. I will have to find another restaurant to eat at because this is no longer acceptable. I am greatly disappointed, this USED to be a great place to eat.

We had a great experience here. No wait, friendly server, food came fast.
I had their very unique lemon meringue pie and it is to die for!
I will be back!
