Sharkey’s is always hit or miss. And this place seems to be no diffrent. We REALLY wanted to like it. The food was just ok. The music was way too loud, can’t enjoy a converstion without yelling across the table. Pizza was not a Margherita, way too much basil, no pieces of mozzarella just regular shredded cheese. No slices of tomato, I knew this before I ordered it, as not all Margherita pizzas have tomato but, this pizza needed it and maybe a little bit of garlic. Duck skillet, the duck was cooked perfect. Broccoli and potato were over salted, maybe needed a nice drizzle of something and some shallots. I know sounds picky but if you want to start getting creative with your menu it needs to be executed to perfection. I’d rather pay for a prefect $ 20 burger instead of half decent creative meal. We probably won’t be back. I also don’t know why every bloody mary I order here is never made the same way… consistently is a big issue.

The service here sucks, but the food is good. Our server didn’t even know we were her table at first and then once she found out she had to be reminded 4 times over the course of a half hour that my aunt had ordered coffee before we had even arrived(my aunt and grandfather had arrived 10 minutes before my husband and I and got a table for all 4 of us). Once my husband and I arrived we proceeded to wait 20 minutes for beers. We wanted to have a relaxing evening just simply catching up, we ordered 2 appetizers, and minded our business, but the last straw was when I ordered coffee after my beer to drink, the server we had just up and took my coffee cup, half full, out from in front of me. She didn’t even bother asking me if I wanted more or anything. We waited for her to finally remember we existed while we were there, but when it was time to pay she was at the table every 10 minutes to see of we were ready to leave yet. Absolutely horrid service, and I’m not sure if I’ll return, even though my husband and I used to come in about every other week.

I’ve had a lot of portobello burgers in my day. This place has the best! Well done sir, well done.

Very disappointed. We were a group of 4. We ordered 2 steak salads, nacho grande, Italian hoagie. Before we ordered I asked for a drink menu. Food took 40 mins and within that time I still didn’t get the drink menu. Steak came out burnt and hoagie was on a hot dog bun. I had to ask our waitress again for a drink menu after waiting another 10 mins we went and got it ourself. When the food was delivered no silverware was with it we had to ask which took 10mins to get. I didn’t order a drink since it took over 10mins to get the beers for the guys each time and there was only 4 tables taken in the dining room. Sharkey’s has definitely gone down hill which is very sad.

Everything is awesome! Best blackened shrimp salad around! You won’t be sorry! Best place to watch the game, too.

This place blew me away. Sooooo much better than the original Sharkey’s restaurant and menu! It still has that sports bar«feel,» just elevated. Latrobe really needs more places like this! I get so tired of pizza and fried food when visiting. But I’ll def be back for that bacon cornbread, the lobster/truffle Mac and that waygu burger! They also serve duck, was REALLY hoping for duck fat fries but hey, no place is perfect!

In a sea of chain restaurants, Sharky’s is like a little oasis. We were staying in the area, and it just so happens this restaurant was right next door to our hotel, so we decided to check it out. We were so glad we did. I would describe their food as upgraded American. They had waygu burgers and lobster mac and cheese. The prices, at least compared to my neck of the woods, were very reasonable. They even served more sophisticated beverages, although they could have executed a bit better. The real attraction here seems to be the open air appeal and deck. The outdoor seating area is nice, but you are looking at a parking lot and a busy road with strip malls — not exactly pretty. Never the less, the food and service was good, and it seemed to be a popular pick with locals.

The menu is interesting, and the patio is beautiful, and I so want to be a fan– but the execution just doesn’t pan out. One friend arrived before the rest of the group and was given water, at least. When the rest of us got there, we were asked«so do you want something to drink other than water or what?» Not the best way to make great first impression. Service got more friendly from that point on, but was always on the slow side. The menu is definitely promising. For appetizers, we shared some pork belly tacos that were excellent, and roasted red pepper dip that was quite good as well, with delicious pizza chips on the side(as well as some celery for a gluten-free friend). Entrees were a little bit iffier. The onion chive butter filets were served on hot cast iron and turned out great, but my husband’s 8 oz filet was on a regular plate, and wasn’t even close to hot when it arrived. Another friend and I had the lobster mac and cheese, and it was all right; the cheese was melted and the pasta hit the right texture, but the butter flavor overwhelmed the lobster and the truffle oil, and the lobster was a bit too chewy. Drinks were good– they have a nice beer selection, and some decent wines by the glass. The raspberry dessert martini was not a hit, but the peanut butter cup dessert drink was essentially a rum milkshake and kind of awesome. Very hit-and-miss– I’d give them another shot, perhaps for brunch with those bottomless mimosas, or maybe just for drinks and appetizers, but I’m not anxious for a return visit.

Decent small food. Small food. Small food. Did I mention it is small food? Atmosphere is very nice and a very nice view. A shame you can’t order from its sister(Sharkeys) next door. You use their bathroom but not their menu… Go figure. Big pretzel as an appetizer was decent but a little pricey. Oh, and by the way the food is small(but decent).

What a great place in Latrobe! We’ve eaten there a couple of times. The appetizers are great. We had bone marrow and a salad the last time there. Both were delicious and the beer menu is great. Nice job!

I really want to like this place, but they have to step up their game with the food quality. The Pier has a nice vibe with the outdoor seating and outdoor bar, but they have no beer on tap. Strange because the indoor bar/restaurant does. They have a lot of strategically placed TVs for watching games. We tried 3 shareable appetizers. The ahi tuna was really good. The roasted chicken wings were okay, but they needed more seasoning or salt and they were a bit tough..(They’re not nearly as good as Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza’s wings.). The veal meatballs had too much filler and not enough meat flavor. Everything was served piping hot and stayed hot in cast iron skillets right out of the oven. We will return to try some different items. Like I said, I really want to like this place.

Delicious! I was skeptical at first because we entered through sharkys café. The pier is on the opposite side. It has a much nicer ambience and menu. Friendly staff and yummy food. I am definitely going back:)

Every meal I get here is absolutely excellent! Veal meatballs, stir fry, margherita pizza, baked soft pretzels… Their brunch is delicious too! I highly recommend their cast iron skillet cinnamon rolls $ 10 bottomless mimosas!

great Place, great ambiance, love the décor, staff were super nice, after living 25yrs in CA, nice to have a really good coal fired pizza, met the owners, very nice people, the hanging pretzels are a hoot, and very tasty, this place works on all levels, made my stay in the –8 degree weather pleasant, and finally, compared to CA prices, it was almost free! happy to give a 30%+ tip!

Not a great menu. Staff was friendly but not completely on top of things. I had the duck with is one of their signature dishes and I would not get it again. My biggest annoyance was went I got the bill and there were suggested tipping amounts, which can be helpful. However I was annoyed that it started at 20%. I normally tip 20% but I thought I was kind of a generous tipper. I was under the impression that the standard tip was 15%. Now I feel like I am almost stiffing the server by tipping the minimum suggested amount.

Limited menu and not open at all times. We wanted to have lunch there on a beautiful WPA afternoon… not open. Maybe they can work on this.

Definitely not what you would expect. All the food is good but we really like the Saturday and Sunday brunch because there is a lot more options for me since I’m gluten free. Large variety of drink options and the food has been consistently good which days a lot for a new restaurant. Love the outdoor seating option but would love more gluten free options for dinner and clearer menus that list allergens. The caprese salad, snow peas in martini glass, and skillet steak are my go to dinner items. Brunch is the skillet over flowing with eggs, potatoes, bacon, and prosciutto. We’ll continue to eat there as long as the good remains consistent.
