Valley Dairy 3

Ah yes, this is the Valley Dairy that took the place of the one just down the street at the Latrobe 30 strip mall. I have fond memories of that Valley Dairy, eating there after spending a family fun day at Idlewile, while on vacation.
For this particular Valley Dairy, which I’ve been too a few times already, I have to say I’m a fan, just not a big one. The food is serviceable, if not great, their selections are limited in my opinion, but do cover some ground, and the service has been, for the most part, solid if not spectacular. Overall, it’s definitely our go-​to place for ice cream (when we’re wanting something other than soft-​serve).
My biggest complaint though is when they have a flavor you desire in the cooler but not in the shop — downright irritating when I think of it. Maybe they’ll re-​think their policy and pull from the cooler when a patron likes something they are offering from there. Just a thought…

Always great comfort food. Pleasant atmosphere and good service. Great ice cream. Dairy Queen is usually first choice but always too busy. Lol

I’m a cook and never complain about food or service because I know how it is, but I can honestly say this place has givin me the absolute worst dining experience EVER.

Came here with some friends who grew up in LaTrobe. They told me the ”Banana split” originated here so we had to try it.
Nothing fancy but three scoops of ice cream on top of a banana with whipped cream and a cherry on top in a silver bowl.
Prices appeared average — nothing outageous. They do have shakes/​malts and cakes options (as well as food but didn’t try any).
