Let me start by saying, we offered every opportunity to make things right, many times, before we posted this review. We cancelled another hotel room based on their assurance we would be in a renovated room, with a balcony, and a walk way to the ocean. We arrived, and the room was extremely small. Even the maid said this room is barely room for one person. The Internet, and cable, all tv, was not functioning. We were told that it would be handled within a reasonable amount of time. We waited for hours. After hours of waiting for help to arrive, we were forced to move to a separate room without a view and not renovated. Again, it was a mess. Hugely disappointing would be an understatement. Our night in paradise was ruined and the staff, didn’t care. We said we would post a negative review and the clerk was more interested in painting her nails(which occurred constantly in our presence) more than making our stay acceptable.

We stayed for one night on New Year’s eve. I loved it! Our room was on the 2nd floor with a small balcony facing the ocean. The hotel only has 8 rooms(one parking spot per room). There’s a small heated pool with jacuzzi jets on one of the corners. There’s a patio area, probably large enough for a party of 20 to have an event. The office closes at 5pm so I recommend checking your room before that in case you find any issues that require attention. We found no problems. The room was quaint and old but, very clean. It’s like a bed and breakfast without the breakfast, although, they did give us two $ 4 off breakfast coupons for a nearby restaurant which we didn’t use. We will definitely be back…

Stayed here for 4 – 5 nights this week. They keep some strange hours — at least as compared to mainstream, corporate hotels. The office closed at 5 the day we arrived, so they left our keys, parking pass, etc, in the mailbox out front. They’re very trusting! We got a key to the whole place, and our room key. We were in room 7, one of the smaller ones that makes up for it’s size by having a direct view of the ocean. It was a cute little room. 4 post bed, TV(kind of small and old, but good enough), mini fridge, coffee machine, microwave, and small table with two chairs. Be advised that there is no bathtub, only a shower. The good: — The view(the room was a small balcony) — Everything looked very quaint and pretty — The shower was surprisingly good — hot, good water pressure — Jacuzzi in the main courtyard — THEMAIDSERVICE. Let me tell you, me and hubby made an utter disaster out of this room. Clothes EVERYWHERE, sand all over everything, discarded grocery bags all over, etc. It was so bad we cleaned up a little before she came(like working out so you can go to the gym) and still felt bad about it. When we came back the room had been utterly transformed. Venia went well beyond the expected bed-making, replacing of towels, and trash disposal. She put my suitcase up on a luggage stand, hung some wet cloths up on the curtain rod/shower rod for us, ORGANIZEDOURSUPPLYOFJUNKFOODFORUS, and clearly swept. — The staff was very nice. They had to close the jacuzzi for cleaning at one point and apologized profusely for the inconvenience even though we didn’t care, and are just very relaxed about things. The bad: — It’s old and you can tell. Some things just don’t work quite right, case in point the doors to the balcony. You had to force them open or shut, which was loud, and I couldn’t make them lock. — It doesn’t feel all that safe. As far as I can tel, there was not another soul there at night. We came during a dead point in the season, so there were no other guests, and management left at five. As far as I can tell the back door which opens onto the beach literally does not even have a lock, either. The last night we stayed, it stormed, and it was a very noisy experience that made me imagine people coming in and murdering us, which was too easy to envision… — You can only use the internet in the lobby… which is also kind of creepy in the middle of the night when you’re alone!

Peaceful and Romantic. I can’t begin to describe the wonderful night I spent at this hotel. The setting is wonderful, the rooms and wonderful, and the management(Stewart and Rich) were eager to please. I stayed in a lovely efficiency with a four poster bed and a private efficiency overlooking the ocean for $ 200 in prime season. IN the courtyard, they have a fabulous over sized jacuzzi and they have a small private stretch of beach. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to stay away from the motel scene. And, seriously, the, hands down(my pants), most ROMANTIC night of my life happened here.
