Classic Billiards

Started coming to this place back when I worked at TAG — like forever ago! I love this bar and the friends I’ve made here. You might say that I’m biased, but take it for what its worth. If you like playing pool, there is always, and i mean always, someone willing to play — even teach. All sorts of cool people, and, this place has the best rates in town — don’t believe me? The owner was very inviting. The atmosphere was good and the drinks were cheap. A great place to go and shoot some pool.

Ghetto, Ratchet and NASTY!!! The bartenders are crack heads and ignore guests sitting at the bar. I have been 4 times in the last 2 weeks and their posted hours are bogus. You walk in at midnight and they say «we’re closed» now mind you the door is unlocked, sign says open till 2 am and the bartenders are sitting at the bar drinking. Too bad the owner is clueless to what is going on in there. Good be a cool place but needs a change in ownership, management and definitely the help!

So about two weeks after I left my previous review I was informed by a friend that frequented this place that I was banned for life from Classic Billiards never to be allowed back inside because of my review on Unilocal. Even though it is very immature and childish to ban me for life for being honest and telling the truth I accept the punishment gladly. I would rather be in a jail cell being raped by a large hillbilly redneck then have to go back into that pool hall and smell the nasty air filled with disease and smoke. During my time of going to this pool hall I myself offered to pay to have one of the tables re-​felted because I thought it’s condition was deplorable. And they told me no they did not want me to do that because they were fine with how the tables were. I have a message for Classics if they read this review. I am a spirited hard-​working member of the community and I will do everything in my utmost power to drive your clientele away from that establishment. I will put review after review after review on every website that I am able to join and visit so that your business will soon perish.
I really do not even have to try and ruin your business you guys are doing that your selves your manager is a raging alcoholic who leaves every night stumbling out the door so I am sure your business will not last too much longer. It’s on.

If you are looking for a hollywood red carpet pool hall, then your at the wrong place. There’s nothing fancy here, just a bunch of people having a good time and playing pool!
If you want laughs and great service, then you came to the right spot!
You never know what will happen on a Friday night!!! You may see people break dancing or just dancing by the DJ booth, a group of people doing or teaching some customers a soca style dance, a country line dance, or maybe it’s someone’s birthday and you sing happy birthday and have a slice of birthday cake! Who knows!

Yes, it can get pretty smokey, but what bar or pool hall doesn’t?
There are a lot of people that hang out there who are great pool players, but I’ve witnessed times where a customer will ask them about a shot and they are happy to help or show you how to do a certain move.
At the end of the day, we all go to a pool hall to have fun and play pool!
So go have a beer, play a damn game of pool and have fun!!!

I would go here often a couple of years ago because the pool was cheap ($ 6 dollars an hour) and they would have a kill the keg night for $ 10 every week. They also have a ping pong table. The beer tastes bad probably because of poorly maintained taps but for $ 10 I couldn’t complain. However they decided to up the cost of pull to I think $ 12 an hour and got rid of the kill the keg night. My friends and I refused to go back since they upped their price but not their quality. Example: The tables haven’t been re-​felted in years except for about 4 that they use for pool tournaments; the juke box is horrible and outdated unless you like listening to Eminem Superman song all night which I shit you not that happened almost every night. The juke box would take your money and play whatever it felt like.
Smoking is allowed inside but the ventilation inside is so bad that if feels like you are in a car where everyone is smoking with the windows rolled up. Also like I mentioned before the beer taste bad. Every time we went there and ordered a pitcher of Miller Lite it would taste different. I was gonna give it two stars but remembering how bad this place was I had to give it one or none. The only thing it used to have going for it were the cheap prices but they got rid of that. Still decently priced but not worth it unless you love to listen to rap albums from 2000 – 2004 repeated over and love smelling like an ashtray when you leave. Oh and to add to another reason I stopped going is because my ex started working there and she is a slut or maybe thats why some of you guys might want to go there.
