Interstate All Battery Center

This is a little store in a strip center just off of Commercial on University. The signage is pretty good, so it’s not hard to find. Parking was easy.
From car batteries to button batteries, they have them all. I needed a battery for a pedometer and wanted it for tomorrow, so I didn’t have time to order it online.
We went in and the sales associate was very nice. He asked me what we needed and I showed him the one that I needed to replace. He reached in a drawer and pulled it out. We were in and out in under 5 min., which is really great these days.
So why only 4 stars, instead of 5? Fair question. Because I had to pay $ 4 for a battery that is $ 2 everywhere else. Next time I’ll just have to try to plan ahead.

Looking for a battery for my home alarm. This place is cheaper than radio shack. Very helpful salesman. Explained all the services that they have and he gave me a 15% discount on my next purchase. Very pleasantly surprised by this place.

A few months ago I went to start my car and, instead of turning over, it just let out a dry cough. The battery had died. I called Interstate and spoke with Rubin. He sent a rep to me so a new battery could be installed. It turned a potentially inconvenient matter into a momentary setback. The service and price were great!
Today, my Mom called to say her battery was dead. I was in my car — returning to work after making a quick stop at Louie K’s Club Sandwich — but was still able to help her! I called Interstate and once again Rubin was there to save the day! I made a conference call with Mom and they arranged for an Interstate rep to go to her car and replace the battery.
Mom is getting up there in age and she feels vulnerable in situations like this. I was so glad I had the store’s number programmed in my phone! It was so easy to handle that when I returned to my home office I was able to turn my attention to the sandwich! Mom called me after the battery was installed and said that both the rep and Rubin were extremely nice; the battery installation was fast and well-​priced (without an extra fee to go to her car), and that they took the battery to test it so if there is any life left in it they can credit her that amount.
Wow! I could not ask for more. I am confident in recommending this Interstate location to my friends because the Interstate guys are really considerate, professional and caring.
Those aren’t the words that come to mind when I think of batteries but maybe they should!
