Edlen Prime Meats

My memories of this place was that it was the ‘go-​to’ place for all your meats, but coming here recently for the first time in years and I gotta say, I’m super disappointed.
I do give them credit for having a pretty large selection of what I would think are hard to find meats (french rack of lamb). I’m just really disappointed in the ‘freshness factor’. All the various types of meats were in vacuumed sealed packages, but nearly all the beef products, which I traditionally think if as having a bright pink color when fresh, were brown/​grey (steaks, hamburgers, etc.). Also, alot of their product was actually frozen, not fresh, and prices were on the high side.
My recommendation: go next door to ShopRite and get fresher, more affordable meat.

The seasoned silver tip roast is to-​die-​for!!! I live in NYC and I can’t find anything as good as that is. I stop by every chance I get to pick some up, don’t miss the chance!

Watch the expiration date on shelf items. We found some 3 year old mustard.
