Was disappointed to find out that their meats weren’t anti-​biotic free, nor grass fed. The meat is either local or from another farm in Dover, DE. Having said that the meats did look good and the staff very friendly. I’m just not sure it’s worth the extra cost for essentially the same thing you can get from your local grocery store.

Get there early on Thursday, Friday and Saturday or you will need to pack a lunch! This butcher shop has the best selection of non-​steroid/​antibiotic free beef, pork and chicken. The Amish roll butter is a must have and they have a great selection of freezer items like veggies, pot-​pies and a selection of frozen meats that generally are a bit cheaper in price than fresh. I have been shopping at Hastings for about 3 years now and I have yet to be disappointed. Hey they have bones for your pooch too, just ask them to cut them to size for you furry friend!
