There’s overflow parking nearby at the American Legion Hall, but handicapped parking is often gone by 7:30 am, and there is NO handicapped parking in the overflow lots. If you know in advance the Laurel lot is full, usually you can find a space at the Savage station but that involves arriving at the Laurel station with enough time to drive to Savage(15+ minutes). They need to re-stripe the handicapped van spaces on the Washington Blvd. lot to create a few more handicapped spaces.

As far as MARC stations go, this one has pros and cons. Pros: there is an actual building with benches and restrooms(the historic Laurel Depot) where you can buy tickets from a kiosk. Cons: the main parking lot is usually full by 7:30am, but there is an overflow lot a very short walk away. Hint: buy your ticket from the kiosk. The conductors often charge a $ 3 surcharge if you buy onboard.
