The employees here LOVE their job and are so dedicated to customer service, I was completely blown away!
I visited for the first time to pick up an order, and I was told that part of my order was cancelled, which was disappointing but not troubling. There were plenty of other items in the store that I was interested in buying and that the salesperson was eager to help with – from taking to the front to holding items for me in the back to candidly checking whether there were more of another item in stock. Chmaika and Margarita were both super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and awesome overall!
On the basis of this experience, I highly recommend Pier 1 Imports!

called for a product check, the first employee [delightful high pitched voice happy to help] was unaware of what to do so handed the phone off to a rude female employee [deep voice full of stress and impatience]. After asking a simple question the employee yelled at me to hold on (twice), making it clear that I would never be setting foot in this location.
Don’t let your attitude affect your work performance.

I had purchased a single curtain panel on clearance at a Pier 1 store near my house. Another panel was not available near to me geographically. This Laurel, MD store had 2 in stock. I called and the associate confirmed that they indeed had 2 in the store. However, she put me on hold then said «they cannot sell the item, it is on clearance and discontinued». This did not make sense to me. I asked to clarify, what if I was in the store, then could I buy this item? She repeated «no that this is discontinued and we cannot not sell it».
I went back to my Pier 1. The store manager called this store to inquire about the in stock items. She was told the same thing, that they were discontinued and they could not sell them. She called customer service. CS called the Laurel, MD store and was told a new story, that the 2 items were just put on a 24 hour hold for a customer. What? I thought they couldn’t be sold? I wasted 45 minutes of my time and the manager’s time for nothing. If pressed to guess, the employee saw the remarkable deal and decided to get them for herself.

C’mon, this is my wifes favorite places.
If you are in to nicknack’s and tchotchke’s this is your place. They have all kind of cool little stuff’s.
The prices are not terrible at all.
This is not really my knid of place but I can see the appeal for people who love having little curiosities around.
