Riverfront Park

Nice park with gentle paved riverfront trail to walk on. Free parking next to the park. There appears to be playgrounds and fishing too, but I can’t attest to the value of either of them.

I loved finding this little spot in Laurel.
There’s a decent amount of parking.
It’s gorgeous there, and the trail extends paralell to the river.
My dog loved a smaller path that had been made over time by others that cut down to the river, which he used to wade through and cool himself off and find some wet sticks.
This is just a lovely place to get a little exercise and enjoy some fresh air together.

A great park 2 blocks from downtown Laurel with super 1.5 miles of paved walking/​jogging/​biking path. Riverfront Park is a 30.2 acre park that parallels the scenic Patuxent River from the historic dam ruins to U.S. Route 1. The park is located adjacent to Laurel Municipal Pool and the Laurel Museum.
There are three picnic pavilions, picnic tables, and grills. There are open play areas in the park — one with swings and a slide for the young ones. The area also is a scenic wetland area and has the historic dam ruins of Old Laurel. This park is beautiful all seasons, but especially beautiful after a good snowfall.
One of the favorite places to take the dog and chill!!!
