STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!
This place is a sorry excuse for a Japanese restaurant!!! I cannot express how horribly we were treated here today. My brother had just came in from out of town and figured we go eat here for dinner since it is the only hibachi Japanese restaurant in town.
Upon arrival, we were seated at a grill that had 2 grills and seating back to back. A family had already been seated there in front of the grill and We were seated literally behind the chef.
The lady then said they were only going to turn on the 1 grill and we had no choice but to view the «show» looking at the chef’s behind. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! The lady turned out to be the owner whose name is «Linda». We told her that this wasn’t fair and that she could not be serious. She then proceeded to talk to my brother and I like dirt; like we were some low lifes and like she was doing us a favor demanding us to either sit there or get out. As in giving us an ultimatum. This whole time she was speaking to us in a Disparaging tone like we didn’t have any worth.
There was also a waitress named «Makayla» that stated to me «other people before y’all were seated here and they didn’t complain». Well did it ever occur to you that just because they didn’t complain doesn’t mean it is right. While we were walking out of the restaurant, she began to tease us acting like a 5 year old school girl; waving at us and «shooing» us away and yelling in the middle of her own restaurant.
My brother and I own a hospitality company. We own and operate businesses from Mississippi to Alabama. I can tell you that the owner, Linda, and her staff needs some SERIOUS training in customer service, hostess training, and just general interpersonal skills of how to be an owner. Never will I be returning here. I used to go when the old owner, Amy, was there but this owner is horrible! Again. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

Great service, never to busy. Love their hibachi but also love coming in before 3, and ordering their teriyaki lunch box. Comes with noodles, rice, teriyaki chicken, soup, salad, sushi, and meat stuffed rolls for 8 dollars.

Really great food combined with attentive staff means I’ll be back! Tokyo soup is very good and spicy.

Take out lunch deal is good stuff. Staff is friendly and always attentive. Olé Miss roll is really good! The shrimp tempura is also good. Also a new one I had last time was the tuna twins roll and I really liked it, I highly recommend it! I haven’t done the hibachi yet but that area is always packed.

This review is for the Hibachi food that I had last week with family members. Some of my party had never experienced a Hibachi meal so we came here on a last minute whim.
This was our first time to attend this restaurant even though it has been here for a few years. We were seated with another small group and then gave our orders. I went with the shrimp and scallops. The drinks, soup and salad then showed up. About 10 minutes later the chef showed up and the fun began. I must say that I was surprised at how good our chef was. I never expected this level of quality in Laurel. He was entertaining and competent with his cooking ability. My seafood was very good and the meal was very filling. The rice and pasta helped with that. Prices are a little high for Laurel with my entrée running $ 26 before drink, tax and tip. However it was good and fun. The newbies in my party said they liked the food and would come back.
If you are looking for a quality Hibachi experience in Laurel I recommend coming here. The interior of the sushi part of the restaurant looked nice. I am sure all of their food is good.

Very good Hibachi and Sushi… the staff was super friendly and cooperative with my little ones request! It was also a very nice and clean environment!

Really good fast and courteous. The most important thing was that the food was super delicious.

Amazing food and attentive service. Hibachi was so yummy! Reasonably priced. We had chicken and steak hibachi, both equally good.

The hibachi chef was amazing. The place was very clean. We had sushi it was very good. The rice and vegetables vet seasons very well. The steak chicken and shrimp we had was amazing also. Service was awesome also.
