First Unilocal review and for a smog check, no less, but I had to give a shout out to Nabil and his over the top great service.
I came into get my smog check last Saturday but halfway through he said his internet went down and had been having issues since ever since Frontier took over for Verizon. He said he couldn’t print the certificate without it, so he kindly referred me to a smog check place down the street. I didn’t end up going and ultimately headed home. Later that day he called me and asked if I got everything taken care of at the other place. I said I had other errands and would just come back next week.
So today I show up and he remembers my name and had my paperwork I had filled out sitting on top of his desk waiting for me. He also did a great job making the whole experience comfortable and easy.
I highly recommend using this place for your smog check. Nabil is great and you will be well taken care of.

I found this place on Unilocal,and I’m extremely pleased with their service! I normally don’t take the time to write up a review, but after my experience with the staff (Nabil & his brother), and the service, I felt it was only right to give credit where credit is due, and hopefully help the next person looking for a great place to get smogged. All the positive reviews I read were spot on! I was in and out of there in 10 minutes, great price, awesome service, and friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend them, and I will definitely be going back!

Nabil was very quick in answering my questions and such a nice person. When I got there, there was no wait. He was smogged my car and I was done in no time. It was worth the drive and it’s so conveniently located by the exit. Would definitely go back again! Thanks Nabil!

Nabil is the man, and his shop lived up to the 5-​star reviews… Great customer service, in and out in about 20 minutes and no worries at all, even though my car is older and needed to be tested on the dyno. Will definitely be back there with my jeep when the time comes. Highly recommend.

Went back in October 2015 to take my truck, but barely writing a review now because now I have to take my car. Easy to find and accommodated me with a Saturday appointment.

When it comes to customer service, Nabil knows how to make a customer feel taken care of. He truly cares and makes sure to give the most honest forthright feedback and help. I was in desperate need to get a fast smog check and just happened to be across the street from American smog check center. He greeted me with warmth and treated me like family with complete respect. I was in and out in 10 minutes (needed to get through traffic from MB to the valley to pick up my baby from daycare)! Thank you Nabil for making a smog check feel like a red carpet experience!

A very pleasant experience. Nabil is very professional and very polite. I will definitely recommend him to my friends. He also introduced my to his peer Ash who is a specialist in german car repair. Recently my friend asked me to ride with her to get her car «smog tested». I could not understand why she was going to a facility she had never heard of and was 12 miles away; there were much closer places and one that I have previously dealt with. She told me that it was because of a «Groupon Certificate» and it entitled her to a substantial discount. At that time, my thoughts were less than positive, and although I too needed a «Smog Certificate», there was no way I was going to a place that I did not know and was not that close to me.
I am the first to admit when I am wrong and I could not have been more wrong about American Smog Center. When we arrived at this location we met the owner, Nabil, and his warm, friendly and cordial personality (not to mention his great sense of humor) quickly put us at ease. He completed his inspection of her car so quickly that we did not even have a chance to grab a «cup of coffee». After she received her certificates we stayed around for awhile, just visiting and getting to know this gregarious professional; it was like visiting with a long lost friend. And, he directed us to a great «Mediterranean Food Place» that was not only delicious, but inexpensive for the quality and quantity of the food.
Several days later, when my car needed a smog certificate and having been «won over» by Nabil, I headed out to his facility. Again, he completed the inspection process in just a few minutes while providing his humorous comments for entertainment. To be honest, I am so impressed with his customer service that I would utilize his services even if he were much higher in price and located much further away. He has my business for many years to come. And, having been a writer for many years (restaurant reviews, company reviews and especially product and customer service issues) I have seen it all, from the best to the worst.
Do yourself a favor and give this place a try… you will be happy that you did. Someone on here is probably going to ask, because of such a positive review, if I am related or being paid for this review. The answer to both is an emphatic «NO». I am a professional journalist and would never compromise my integrity. I just appreciate great customer service by competent professionals and like to share that information with friends. People know that when I recommend a place, it must be something special.

I have not done a smog check in a while. And thanks to the reviews on Unilocal I took my car too American Smog Check and Nabil the owner was great. It only took him 10 min or maybe less to smog my car. I was in and out only cost me $ 40 and I was a happy customer. Very friendly person so next time I need another smog I’m definitely bringing my car back.

American Smog Check Center has the best deal on smog checks in South Bay and in fact all of Los Angeles, Ca! Nabil was so kind, quick and professional! I highly reccomend them for your next Smog Check!

So, I went here for my smog check. Finally able to write my review for this place. Should have done it earlier.
I dread anything that has to do with getting my car serviced but in order for me to get that reg sticker, I had to do this.
I found this place on Unilocal and read reviews so I decided to come here. I guess people were right about how awesome this place is.
Made my appointment with Nabil and he gave me great service, excellent service! Need I say more? He likes to crack jokes too. Ha-​ha
The smog check was quick and easy and I was out of there within 10 minutes.
Got a great deal for it also! Usually other places charge more and there are stinky attitudes with it. Not here.

There’s a reason why American Smog Check Center has so many 5-​star reviews… I’ve taken two of my vehicles here for a smog check. Both times, they were quick, courteous, fairly priced, and convenient. If you live anywhere near American Smog, trust me, go there. You won’t be disappointed. I’m taking my third car here when I need to get it smogged, and I won’t go anyplace else from now on.

Nabile is amazing came in at 320 got out at 340 with certs in hand, groupon deal was great traffic sucked but it was worth the drive from LB will definitely be back.

Was in the area, called to see if I could be fit in, was told that I could bring my car in. Got there, was greeted nicely and immediately, and was directed toward the lobby. Inspection was done quickly and I was on my way.

Decided to come here on a whim based off of all the amazing Unilocal reviews. I’m so glad I did! Nabil’s service is top notch. Being new to California (I’m from WI), I’ve quickly come to learn that due to heavy population, it seems as if a lot of places treat you like a number rather than a customer. Meaning you’re just another number to help them generate numbers and that’s that. HOWEVER, Nabil wasn’t that. You can just see how hard he works and that he loves his job. Also to note: I was in and out within’ 20 mins.
In my short time living out here. This was hands down, the best service I’ve received.

Nabil is the man! Very friendly and down to earth. Can’t go wrong getting Your car smogged here. I was In and out within a matter of 15 minutes. Not only is it fast, but also the cheapest around, charging me a total of only $ 40 for my 2000 Mustang.

A coworker friend of mine recommended this place, and it being close to work I decided to give it a try as I needed to get a smog check to finish up the annoying process for my car registration before I could get the renewal sticker. I came in before closing time and was in and out in no time without being made to feel guilty for my poor timing. Like everyone else, I have a busy schedule so thank you sir for understanding. The experience was fast, painless and I was made to feel very comfortable as I waited in the waiting room for the few minutes it took to complete.

Nabile was very nice and worked super fast. A lady tried to push ahead of me but he asked her politely to wait, which was sweet of him.
