Super delicious cheese pizza for reasonable price. Perfect ratios, not too greasy, crust perfect for dipping in the left-over marinara of our cheese sticks – also yummy. Had to hunt for it a little in the Shop Rite complex.

This pizza is amazing — by the slice or a whole pie, you can’t go wrong. Get the cheesesteak — delicious.

Easily one of the best pizzeria’s in Mercer County! I’ve been coming here for years and they never disappoint.

Very fresh and well prepared eggplant parm sandwich. We ordered it to eat-in. It was fresh, crispy, and not too greasy. The price was good at around $ 10 for a large that fed two. Id happily eat here again.

I had an odd experience leading to my discovery of this gem. It was right after Sandy had come through, and we were without power for days in the South Brunswick area. My girlfriend and I were sick of being cold and hungry one Friday night, so we had to make a venture to find somewhere that had power and was serving food. We found several places, but they were all crammed full. We pulled into the commercial plaza in which Red Moon is located, and everywhere else was full. I happened to spot the Red Moon sign and drove back… no line! Power! Food! Soda! Even if it wasn’t great, it was something. We went in, and I ordered a pepperoni calzone, she got a slice of pizza. I expected okay food, and I got fantastic food. Pure perfection. The cup of sauce I got with it was terrific, too. And Sal was great. We noted this place mentally, and we still make the trek to get a slice, or a calzone. It doesn’t look like much, but it’s timeless. It’s like a place Billy Joel or Bruce Springsteen would write a song about. I can’t think of a better compliment to a business in Jersey.

Exactly what a pizza joint should be. Small restaurant run by a guy with flour all over his shirt. The pizza was perfect! If I was a local this would be my go to spot. Really happy with the entire experience.

Highly disappointed. Went here because of the 4* rating, but immediately regretted that decision after taking one bite. I ordered mozzarella sticks and a cheesesteak with peppers, mushrooms, onions and marinara sauce. Everything was extremely bland and forgettable. The roll was soggy, the steak greasy and the sauce flavorless. The mozzarella sticks were luke warm and again, flavorless sauce. I saw old articles from 2011 exclaming how great this place once was and how it is ran by two Sicilian brothers. I must say, they must have either cheaped out on their ingredients or they must just not care anymore. Needless to say with so many pizza shop options in NJ, there is no reason to give this place another try.

This is a review where I have to separate the review of the«food» from«everything else.» In terms of food, the pizza is very good: thin, crisp crust and perfect amounts of sauce and cheese. A plain slice — the quality benchmark of any pizzeria — does not disappoint. Well worth the $ 2.50 a slice. What constitutes«everything else,» you ask? Service: unfriendly and not overly eager to make you feel like a valued for your patronage. Ambience: none. It’s on the back side of a strip mall. The inside is drab and in need of some modernization Cleanliness: Very concerning — the dining area tends to be pretty dirty(uncleaned tables, dirty floors, etc.). If you glance back into the kitchen from the dining area, you can see the kitchen looks somewhat rundown and dirty. Alas, a second star is given to reflect the tastiness of the food.

I come here every here and there for lunch. Sometimes when I’m in the mood for real Italian pizza in lieu of Dominos, for example, I come here. The plain pizza is good. The slice is thin, just the way I like it, cheesy(but not overly), right amount of tomato sauce, etc… the crust isn’t the best but it’s okay. There is a $ 5 min to use debit/credit cards, so I usually get two plain slices at $ 2.50 each, which works out. The staff seems nice, they just get to the point pretty much. I wish there were more drink options like Snapple, for example and dessert options(there are no dessert options whatsoever(no cannoli, nothing). Besides their fountain drinks, it was mainly soda or water… there was also a lemonade, I believe, which I wasn’t very fond of. I would recommend this place to others.

I recently started working in the area and was looking for a good pizza place. One of my employees suggested Red Moon. I ordered twice so far and the pizza was delicious and piping hot when they delivered it. Like they just took it out of the oven. The staff and delivery person were very friendly.

Pizza is awesome and their personalities are real, I’ve known these guys for awhile, they’ll bust your balls if you come in there acting stupid, they used to live in my area of North Trenton. People complain that they don’t deliver, give me a break, why would they? It ruins the pizza when it’s delivered since it gets all steamed in box, stop being lazy and get out in the world, burn a few calories.

They deliver? I’m 2.2 miles away and they said they«don’t go all the way over there». Doesn’t sound like much of a delivery range. If you want delivery, probably should try elsewhere.

This is the best pizza place I’ve ever been to. They cook all the stuff at the spot, no heating up: we had a calzone and the guy actually rolled the dough, filled it with cheese and meatballs and baked it. Same goes for the pizza. The slices are very good by the way, and everything is very modestly priced. They also have a standard selection of pasta entrees, lasagna, very good salads and sandwiches. Definitely a must for Princetonians and US-1 commuters!

It’s hard giving this place four stars but I must – the pizza quality is tops. First things first – Unilocal says they deliver but they only kinda do. I’m 1.2 miles away and since they don’t «know my area» they don’t deliver. I’m assuming delivery is limited to Avalon and the communities close by. Second things second yep, these aren’t the nicest guys. Kinda grumpy. Third, yeah the place is a little sad looking. So why four stars? The pizza is top quality. Literally perfect sauce-to-cheese ratio and the thinnest crust I’ve seen in the area. Everyone else seems obsessed with too puffy crust or too thick crust. These guys get it right. Oh and you can get slices.

Best Pizza in the Princeton area hands down. Perfect crust and great flavor at a very reasonable price, unlike most of the other Pizza places in the area where you pay the Princeton up-charge. They also have a wide variety of Italian dishes, sandwiches, and even offer gluten-free pizza and vegetarian lasagna. The staff is wonderful and provides first-class, no-fuss service. The interior may need some updating but most of their food is meant for take-out anyway. I highly recommend this place if you’re ever shopping in the area or even just stuck in rush hour traffic and need a break and a slice.

This is a four star slice shop. Period. That means I probably need to take a moment to explain the five star review. Simple, this has become my local slice shop. It’s my go to place for an incredibly delicious and inexpensive cheese slice. Occasionally, I’ll get a slice of the white broccoli rabe when its available. There are plenty of amazing places to go for great slices of pizza. Some are worth a thirty minute drive out of your way. This one isn’t. But to have such a high quality place, with owners that take a palpable sense of pride in their product, in a setting completely without pretense, so close to one’s home is rare thing indeed. I consider myself lucky that I discovered Red Moon early and that I’ve been here often. The cheese slices are gloriously thin. When reheated their bottom crust is crisp and well toasted. And it does that thing all NY style slices should do, where the layers of crust and sauce and cheese co-mingle into one glorious trifecta of umami-liciousness. My son enjoys their meatballs. The small eggplant and chicken parm hoagies aren’t bad. The calzone and cheesesteak stromboli are passable. I never tried their Italian hot dog or some of their other offerings. But I did try the fresh baked bread they serve with their dinners, and it too is great. This corner of Princeton, with its many strip malls, has a ton of traffic. Far too little of it goes to Red Moon. It’s a pity that so many are missing out on such tasty slices and opting instead from mass produced dreck at the national chains.

Excellent hot crispy thin basic pizza with a nice selection of toppings. This pizza place has a friendly staff that will always take care of you. Quick service with about 16 tiny booths and a few 2 person tables. They will always give you a soda refill from the fountain. Cold subs are good as well. Never had the pasta or specials because I typically grab a slice here when I am in the area. 01÷10÷13 added additional star! 01÷07÷15− Best Minestrone soup!
