Rather than put this review under the Trenton Farmer’s Market, I thought I would go ahead and give Vitella & Sons their first official Unilocal review. Again, thanks go out to Michelle R. for telling me about this place. I love Prosciutto and Fresh Mozzarella sandwiches. You can’t see my face right now. If I could put into words how much I love this sandwich, I would be a poet and therefore very rich and I’d be living on an island and someone else would be currently typing this review for me. Sadly that isn’t the case so I have to make due with what I have. Nothing. I just love the sandwich. Simple as that. Saying that, now I’ve been turned onto prosciutto cotto, which is cooked prosciutto. I ordered a sandwich here with prosciutto cotto,(you have to specifically ask for this) fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers on italian bread with balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. Oh my farking god(sorry to those of you that might be offended by that, but i can’t help myself) that was a good sandwich. It is big. It is about $ 8. If you don’t have a big appetite, share one with someone you love or like or don’t physically detest. I have a big appetite and got through that bad boy fairly quickly. I live in Oregon now and I’ve yet to find a sandwich that comes close to this one. These are the types of places I miss most about the east coast. Ok, I miss my family too. Vitella’s. Where have you been all my life? Apparently just a few miles down the road from where I went to college for 2 years. Clearly I spent too much time studying.
