Andover Children’s Academy

Its a GREAT place. First of all, I have two kids who also attended Melrose YMCA and Andover Kindercare, so I feel that I have seen some things I can compare. At first I did not look at ACA because of location Lawrence vs Andover. But then we met someone at the library and it was recomended to us. The things I like 1) wonderful teachers. I feel my kids are being treated very nicely. What more can you say. 2) they have a cook onsite that preps hot meals! No «bring from home lunches» — which I personally like a lot, less pain in my life 3). The place is VERY affordable. This question became important to us when we had the second child 4) they rent a bus in the summer and older kids (with parents permission) go to field trips: farm, beach, etc. It the only place I know that does it and my older one loves it 5) they have music teacher, dance teacher (no additional charge like another place). Things I don’t like: outdoor space /​playground. Its ok but I’ve seen better and would preffer more green grass. That’s pretty much it. Overall, I would highly recomend the place.

I have 2 sons. My older went to ACA for 3 years starting out in pre-​K when we moved to the area. When I had my second child it was not even a discussion for us about where to send him while we are at work. ACA has been like extended family for us. We love all the teachers and never have to worry about the kids while they are in the good care of the staff at ACA. My kids have always come home happy and what could be more important than coming back to see your kids have had a great day. This is the one place which offers a huge amount and variety of field trips from taking the kids to Boston Commons to the Musical theaters in Beverly and farms for petting.
I would recommend ACA to all my friends.

This is the strangest review. I’ve sent both of my children to ACA and love it! They learn so much and can’t wait to go to school everyday! My little one even asks to go on Saturdays! The teachers are phenomenal! They are patient, kind, smart, and creative. If I had a 3^rd child I would definitely choose ACA for both daycare, and preschool. If you are looking for a loving and caring place to send your child definitely check out ACA.

Fairly mediocre place. Sloppy, unprofessional management that doesn’t seem to listen to staff. Staff are nice enough but I expected smarter and more professional for my tuition. I don’t like the idea that the children are being exposed to teachers who dress like they are going clubbing. I can’t believe management permits this. They offer breakfast and lunch which is convenient but the food is mostly starchy, canned, high in fat, sodium and sugar. This place talks a good game but doesn’t really deliver. I don’t think they are open to new curriculum concepts. Management cares more about the dollars than the kids and plays favorites with the teachers and parents — does something for one but not another. This causes confusion and mistrust. You can do much better!
