I have never purchased a custom shade before or inquired about a custom shade until this summer when I decided we needed a huge blind for my front living room window for privacy. It just so happened that I remembered my neighbor had spoken very highly of her experience with Rich and Vicki Ewoldsen a few months back so I called them. Rich came out and I was surprised how expensive one«budget» blind was. Though I really liked and trusted Rich, I thought I should check online to price compare before I made the purchase. I called Rich and Vicki answered the phone. I asked her what the deminsions of my window were and she said she could not give me that information. So, I measure myself and found, after a little bit of research online that their prices were less than other non custom roman blinds that I found online. I called Rich and Vicki back and placed my order. Rich came to pick up payment in full before they placed the order and said it would be 2 – 3 weeks. After 2 weeks I called and left a message and no one called me back. Then, today, after 2.5 weeks, I recieved a card in the mail thanking me for my business and requesting that I refer friends. So, I called them again this afternoon to inquire as to the status of my order and still have not heard back. I am disappointed. Initially I was really impressed with Rich’s customer service but since I spoke with Vicki and after he picked up payment I have been disappointed with their customer service. I wish I wouldn’t have payed in full initially so I had some leverage. Rich is great but proceed with caution.
