Keith Jones DDS

Keith Jones, DDS, is a good and reasonable place for your dentistry needs.
I’ve been going to Dr. Jones for about 10 years. Over this time, I’ve had bi-​annual cleanings and occasional cavities filled, mostly due to a lot of years of irresponsible behavior with my dental health. I know some folks get anxiety whenever they see the dentist, but I’ve always been put at ease when I go in for a cleaning, and even the process for cavities isn’t too bad. The hygienist that I typically see is very personable and we tend to chat about what’s going on in our lives. She has a remarkably gentle touch and is very efficient about cleaning my teeth quickly and without discomfort.
On the occasions I have needed cavities filled, the process has been similarly efficient. A quick hit with a local anesthetic, a wait for it to kick in, and then sit back and let the doctor do his work. As I said, I don’t really have anxiety with dental work, so I do just fine with the local, and the work is generally done in an hour, so the local doesn’t zonk me out for a drive home.
If you are looking for a family dentist in Lawrence, Dr. Jones is my dentist, and I would recommend him to anyone.

Ok, so saying that I am a fan of the dentist goes against all that is holy, but, if you want to eat delicious food, I contend that you need teeth, and to have teeth that are in shape for a good nosh, you need the dentist, so while I do not love the dentist, for a necessary evil, Dr. Jones and his awesome staff are where it is at.
The people who work here are wonderful and always put you at ease. They have extended hours, so you can make it in if you have to toil in the mines 8 – 5, and they are happy to work with you to make an appointment that fits into your schedule. They are great about cost estimates and working with insurance companies. And they are downright nice.
They also have the technology to make crowns right in the office, so while painful (both the the jaw and pocketbook), it does not cut into your busy schedule nearly as much as old-​school dental repair.
