Orchards Drug

I tried Orchards back in 2011 when Walgreen’s refused to fill an rx that both my OBGYN and primary Doctor said was low risk & necessary to avoid further stress and complications in my pregnancy. When my husband called Orchards Drug to see if they would fill the physicians orders, they were completely professional and understanding. One of the pharmacists, Mark, stayed open late to meet with my husband so we could have it immediately. He explained the medication and side effects. Ethically he recognized that when the physician and OB have determined it necessary to my care, he did not need to interfere with judgement.
Ever since then I was sold. We switched all medications over to them. Sally is another pharmacist there and both are very knowledgeable and comprehensive with their consultations. I’ve been there when elderly customers come in and staff are always so polite, asking the customers about their family and what they’ve been up to. The service is exactly what you would want from your pharmacy.
As another reviewer mentioned, when I need to buy an over the counter product they are great with recommending the best product and making sure you are getting the best value.
My stepdaughter needed to use an inhaler temporarily when ill and Mark took the time to show her exactly how to use it and then had her take a dose there so he could give her more tips and guide her through the process. You can’t beat the service and care you get at Orchards. Bonus: they deliver!

I moved up to Lawrence freshman year to start at KU and I really struggled to find a pharmacy I liked. I went to Watkins but it took days to just get my one prescription so I looked for pharmacies close to my dorm and ended up finding Orchards Drug because it’s right up the street from daisy hill. I couldn’t have been more happy with the quick service. Also I was so lost with figuring out insurance and what not and the pharmacists made me feel so comfortable and helped me figure it all out. They help call my parents and get all the information they needed. I’ve been with Orchards for the past 5 years and I couldn’t be happier.

Honestly, I keep loving this place more each time. Granted, I still don’t have any prescriptions (knock on wood), but I do go here for cold meds, allergy meds, and other stuff and they’re always very helpful with, as I keep discovering, crazy good prices.
Case in point — I’m fighting a wicked head cold and have no medicine. Finding it difficult to make it through my work day (my office is just down the street), I roll over to Orchards for some meds. Sure enough, I am not inside for 5 seconds before I am asked if I need any help.
The woman helping me listened to what I was suffering and recommended a simple decongestant. She asks me if I can do the generic stuff in order to save some money, which I can. I also picked up a box of Kleenex, and the whole thing was $ 8.50 or so (with tax) for the Kleenex + 24 cold pills.
This place is great.

The staff is committed to customer service. They have bent over backwards to answer my questions and take care of my needs… sure beats the grocery store or those drug store corporations.
