Love Edie(the owner) and Nadia(nail technician and stylist). Emily is very good as well, but has cut back her hours.

I followed my stylist Emily when she moved to The Silver Clipper recently. The location is convenient with lots of free parking. The salon is clean and bright, and Edie is always welcoming. Emily has had to cut back her hours since becoming a mother, but every time I get to see her, I leave feeling beautiful. She cares and it shows. I followed her advice on products and my hair has never been in better condition! She knows hair and she will talk frankly about how a trendy cut or color might look on me. I’m glad I put myself in her capable hands. The results are always good. I have also had good manicures from Nadia. Yes, the salon hires stylists as independent contractors, so I can not speak for all stylists there, but so far my experience has been fantastic. I intend to keep coming back.

This girl Emily Willis has been working with me for months. We were setting up for her to do my wedding hair and makeup for my bridal party. Three months before, she bailed on me and said she didn’t want to do it anymore. Don’t trust any stylist from this salon. I’m getting married in three months and have no idea who I’m booking now! Starting to look at it as a blessing in disguise considering she couldn’t even match my hair to my extensions. Don’t go here and don’t use Emily Willis as your stylist.

Silver Clipper is a co-op hair salon. It’s not owned by any one single individual so when you’re reviewing it, what you’re doing is reviewing the person that cut your hair. The stylists that do business here are all hair styling/cutting career professionals that have practiced their craft for years and have their own customers. Each stylist leases their own space within the salon and is responsible for their own scheduling and individual business. I’ve been coming here for at least ten 10 years seeing«Karen» every three weeks year around. Fun, easy to reschedule if need be, interesting to chat with – she’s like family! I know her husband and her kids by name, some of her grandchildren, I know her political leanings and where she vacations. She knows my family and everything about me. She’s a delight and makes he happy by the time I leave. What’s better than that? And she gives me a great, affordable haircut. She’s sort of my Floyd the Barber, although she doesn’t stutter. So, the point of the review is a bit of a response to the one other from the previous month by a long-time Unilocaler which I felt didn’t provide some important information. I showed the ladies at the salon the review – they’d never seen Unilocal – and they all said the same thing: only one person that ever did make-up is no longer employed there, left shortly after that review was posted. What I can tell you about the salon itself: — Always clean. Cutting hair is a messy business but the facility is always orderly. — The bathroom is spotless, every time, without fail. — Easy parking, usually right in front of the salon. — Every stylist has their own hours. — The facility is well cared for, always painted. Whoever owns the property keeps it in top-notch condition.

Had my hair done here before a wedding. I’d swear they’d never touched a head of hair before. Totally didn’t know what they were doing. Bad hair styling and bad makeup application as well. Stay away.
