I was starving and ordered a number 5, per the deli-man’s suggestion. It was so divine that I hate the entire thing! Highly recommend for a quick, delicious and filling meal!

Tastee sub is one of my favorite places to get a good old italian. Their meat is delicious and since the whole setting is plain and simple just the right thing for me. Their bathrooms are big and clean.

A couple of colleagues at work told me about Tastee and we went there for lunch a little earlier than usual. 11:30. I remember a long time ago the Edison location was the best, but not living there for well over 20 years I had not been back since. So for me this was a nostalgia trip, and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, if my memory serves me, Tastee in Lawrenceville is better than its historical counterpart! I had a roast beef sub with everything on it and half pickle. The bread is exceptional light, crispy, not hard where it challenges the palette. The softness of the bread allows for the contents it cradles, it’s flavor to be truly savored the roast beef was rare and cut thin. All the condiments and additional toppings were fresh and in proper meat/salad ratio. Pickles are awesome. The negatives: sandwiches could use a little more meat on em for the price. My recent tuna sub was way light on tuna. The potato salad was flavorless and kinda slippery on the palate.

Meat and cheese sliced fresh. Really delicious, fresh bread. I come here once a week when I am in Lawrenceville. Best hoagies around.

I eat here daily. Prices are reasonable and these are definitely the best subs around. Better than primos and anything else nearby. Best subs are roasted turkey an tuna. The bread is ALWAYS fresh.

They’re delicious and sized well. My favorite in Lawrenceville. If you’re looking for a classic sub this is the place to go

This is a classic sub shop. Maybe not as many toppings as Subway but just blows that chain away. Everything is fresh & it is probably one of the cleanest establishments that I have ever been in. Ordered the Super sub to take with me to a Rider hockey game last night & it was superb. Always enjoy my trips to to see my daughter at school & a chance to visit Tastee.

Was fortunate enough to stumble on this gem during my days at Rider. Hands down best subs I ever had. Very clean establishment and very friendly staff.

BEST subs, hoagies… Whatever you may call them! The #5 with provolone and all the toppings is heaven on a roll. If you haven’t stopped in, you’re missing out on an amazing treasure.

There is part of me that is tempted to give Tastee three stars. It’s very very bare bones – meat or tuna and four toppings: Lettuce, Tomato, Onions and a minced pepper blend. Would it kill them to get some different types of peppers? Cucumbers or olives? But what they do they do very well. Super quick service, nice people, amazingly fresh bread and a great selection of drinks. Most importantly the price is right. As a veggie, you’re not going to get much here though. And the provolone has no snap at all. But this is the distillation of a simple Jersey sub shop. If you want more options, go to the great Just Subs on Quakerbridge road.

So glad this is my local sub shop. Fresh meat and bread, quick service and cheap prices! Can’t go wrong. Tuna is my favorite!

The best sub shop in NJ, and you’ll never convince me otherwise. Their location in Edison, where President Obama visited, is the one I normally go to, but this one has been very convenient when I’m driving back to DC or visiting friends that live in the area. Regardless of the location the sandwich is delicious and consistent. They make the sandwiches right in front of you and the meat and cheese are sliced to order. My go-to is the boiled ham, salami, and cheese on whole wheat. I think it’s a #11 on their menu. I usually get it with lettuce, tomato, hot peppers(SOGOOD!), mayo, oregano, and vinegar. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. My most recent trip fell on a Friday during Lent, so I had their tuna salad on whole wheat with lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, mustard, vinegar, and oregano. Also delicious! It’s never been too busy when I’ve gone, so I’m usually able to order quickly. I’ll likely be in the area for Easter weekend, so might have to stop in there again!

Took me 4 semesters at Rider until I finally got a free coupon to go eat at Tastee’s. I’m happy to say that I will actually come here more often to start spending my hard to come by college funds. I got a turkey hoagie with American cheese, lettuce, mayo S&P and oregano. Everything was very fresh and Tastee indeed. The thing that really got me was the cleanliness and freshness of the store. Everything seems brand new. Awesome! Well done Tastees in Lawrenceville. I’ll be back soon.

When I went to school right in the area, this was the go to sub-shop. The subs are great and the ingredients are always fresh! They make your sub quick and get you in and out which is always a plus. Also, if you tell them exactly what you want and its not on the menu they have no problem making it for you and they dont overcharge. Overall its a good place for a quick bite if you are in the area.

They are a solid 3. Ingredients are fresh but selection is limited. If your tastes are very simple — ham, Turkey, tuna– you may be happy. Bread is fresh but nothing special. More generous portions than say, subway. My goto sub place is still Primo.

I’ve been here more than a few times… it’s not too far from home… and I’ve never had a qualm with the place besides maybe forgetting vinegar once. All the subs are great. everything’s fresh… and while the staff may not be overly friendly all the time… they make your sub quick so you can get on out and eat. The half sub is more than enough for me. and I can eat. Turkey’s my favorite. If you want a proper sub, this is the place.

I have been to Tastee Subs on Rt. 27 in Franklin Park and it was delicious. Today I picked up a #1 at this location, and I am sorry to say that I was disappointed. The sub was just decent. The bread did not taste as fresh as I expected. The meats were not the best quality and the sandwich lacked flavor. I asked for Oregano but there was none on my sub. Also, I was overcharged because the cashier thought we had whole wheat bread instead of italian. He should have checked with the sandwich preparer if he was unsure or even ask me what I had. I knew something was off with the total, so I calculated it myself and showed the cashier. He still couldn’t figure out what happened. So, another employee came over and calculated the total. He came up with the same price that I had on my calculator. They gave me the difference in cash as I paid with my credit card. They apologized for the inconvenience and for making me wait while they rang up other customers instead of taking care of my discrepancy first. One perk that I saw was that they give a 5% discount for cash transactions. I will not be going back to this location… the sub was not worth it to me. I will try another location in the future. Hopefully, they will live up to the name.

Pretty good sub. Bread and veggies are always fresh. The meat isn’t top quality, but is decent, and they put the right amount on to make a nice flavorful hoagie. I’d give 3.5 stars if I could.

Best sup shop around. Defiantly the cleanest, this place is always spotless which is really nice to see, have you ever peeked around the counter at Hoagie Haven… gross. I always get the tuna and it’s fantastic, no need to go anywhere else.
