Wa is probably my favorite place in all of Lawrence. Every time Andy suggests going to Wa, my face lights up like a little kid on Christmas Day. It’s not the cheapest place to get sushi, but it certainly is the best.
Our go to appetizer is always the beef asparagus maki. It’s so good. Trust me, you’ll want to order it. We have tried numerous rolls, however, our favorites are the Kansas Roll, the 701 (heart attack) roll, and the KC Royals roll. They also have the best hand rolls I’ve ever had. I strongly recommend the spicy tuna hand roll — it will not disappoint!
If you haven’t experienced Wa, you’re definitely missing out. The exceptional food coupled with the fantastic customer service and atmosphere make for a great date night.
