WORST customer service ever. Good luck finding anyone to help you. I needed some chain measured and I needed to know the cost. I went to the back service window for help. Waited. Waited. Waited. I wondered the aisles, looking for anyone who might be able to help me. I could have made my own chain and smelted my own metal by the time it took for help. Inexcusable. Had I not needed the chain, I would have left. Never again. The older staff that works there are not friendly at all. They act like you are bothering them if you ask for help. This store has not always been like this. I’ve had good experiences there in years gone by. Something has changed and the customer is not even considered. From now on, I am going elsewhere with my business.

I love Westlake and the personal service. The young man helped me find the plumping item I needed, reducing my time spent hunting this item down. Prices are reasonable. Thanx!

It’s as simple as this: I’ll be damned if there’s anyone to assist you at this store. Whatever they’re saving in staffing they have to be bleeding 3-fold in revenue. They’re never there for me(friends relate the same) so I won’t be for them. A huge part of any retail store is customer assistance. Ace has chosen to wildly under-staff and not provide that service. I’ve moved on, won’t be back.

Every time I go in there I get the worst customer service, if I can even find an attendant to help me. Once time one of the employees actually said«what’s a little girl like you doing in a place like this?» It was the rudest and I didn’t want to go back, but alas, it is close to home and open later than Cottins, who I love. The latest incident was l when I was looking for seeds to plant. Now, and even a couple months from now are the perfect time to plant fall crops so I wanted to be prepared. I didn’t see any seeds so I asked an attendant. He said to me, as if I was an idiot, «You’re way too late for seeds.» I’m not, I’m actually a bit early for fall crops. I have had only great customer service at the 6th St. Westlake and will make sure not to come back to the 23rd St place until the management learns to train their employees not to be rude and sexist.

Every time I go here, the guys working are very helpful! I’m not well-versed in exactly what I’m after at the hardware store, but with a little explaining, they always are able to lead me to what I need and suggest what I should buy.
