Best small state park in middle tennessee. Tons of stuff to do out there. New stuff being added every year.

The DCSP is about 1000 acres, and there are a 1000 things to do. You can hike, bike, boat, fish, swim, camp, picnic, rent cabins, watch wildlife, visit the David Crockett Museum. They also have several playgrounds, and a restaurant. The park hosts festivals, family reunions, and Easter egg hunts. The rangers have demonstrations and lead hikes throughout the year. The park is pet friendly, but dogs must be leashed. Open all year, admission is free, but fees are charged at the pool, cabins, campground, and for boat rentals.
