Convinced my boyfriend to give them another try since we wanted to go to a place we don’t often eat at. Only to leave after receiving the menu. The restaurant has raised there prices. The cheapest Dinner is 24.95, where last time we rent that was the most expensive. They almost doubled the prices on there menu

I was really unimpressed with this restaurant! The meals are WAY over priced! Sushi was extremely expensive and not very good. They charge $ 3.25 extra for fried rice, which has chunks of overcooked chicken in it,(that was a delightful surprise). And on top of all that their fire suppression systems are 2 years overdue for their inspection/service, so they really care about the safety of their employees and patrons. We won’t be going back.

I really like hibachi and have been to this Sakura many times. It’s not as fancy as some other hibachi restaurants that I’ve eaten at, but the food is consistently good and the staff is friendly. I prefer how they prepare their veggies and apps vs. the other Sakura in the Tri-State.

My wife and I have gone here several times and enjoyed it each time we went. It is a typical Hibachi place with an OK sushi selection. I rated this a little lower because of 2 things. #1 the prices here are rather high for the area and #2 there is nothing really special here. The food is not bad, and the chefs are pretty good, but nothing is outstanding. If you are in the area, looking for some sushi, and have a pocket full of cash, stop in and it will not disappoint.

I frequent Sakura, and the service has always been great. The cooks are entertaining, and food is always good. I am not a fan of sushi, so i cannot address previous comments on the sushi bar, other than I highly recommend the Valentine Roll. I have been to Benihana’s and other Japanese steakhouses, and the Shrimp sauce(yum yum) is by far the best I have had.

I noticed the one star review from a bad experience and thought I would round things out with a different perspective. Sakura is a Japanese style grill along the lines of Benihanas. The chefs are talented and entertaining as they prepare your meal for you. The chicken fried rice is fantastic! I’ve had several of the dishes and particularly like the steak and scallops. The sushi is sometimes good, sometimes bad. It really hinges on the fish quality. For awhile this was the only joint in town to get sushi and I can say my experiences have been mostly positive but that you should remember that this is primarily a Japanese steakhouse. Service has been on par with many of the other Japanese steakhouses I have frequented, which is to say good not great. They take orders and serve the whole table at once with a lot of attention during designated times and less in between those scheduled times. I give this 4 stars because for Lawrenceburg this is one of the better restaurants in town.

I came here for lunch with my whole office. When we arrived a little after noon the place was pretty much empty and we were seated right away. The waitress was out-going and we got our drinks and ordered pretty quickly. We got some sushi as an appetizer and since it was taking so long for the chef to come out, she brought us a plate of california roll on the house. The chef eventually did come and cook us our food and he was fairly entertaining. Maybe he just isn’t as showy for the lunch crowd. The food was well worth the wait! I ate it all, yes, every grain of rice, with my chopsticks! Quite a feat for me. I’ll have to try it for dinner one night.

This place doesn’t deserve even one star. The experience I had tonight makes me sick. I wasted my time and my money. First thing when my boyfriend and I walk in, there is no one there to greet us. They’re all sitting at the bar and they just stared like we were some kind of freaks. So we say hello and we seat ourselves in next to the sushi bar. We get out drinks an I ask if there is a menu for appetizers or any sides besides sushi. Awkwardly, the waitress stares at me waiting to know if I want some rice, but doesn’t give me a menu. The worst part of our meal was the squid salad, which i suggest you do NOT eat. It smelled like it sat in a warm refrigerator for days and when we asked why it smelled bad, he tells us he cut it fresh today. Then he slipped and said he did yesterday? The sushi smelled really fishy and no one asked us about refills or anything. Do not take anyone you love to eat here!

We ate here when they first opened and it was delicious and fun!
