Love this restaurant for take out. Consistently great gyros and Greek potatoes. The food is very fresh.

This is our go-to restaurant for a consistent quality meal. Not just our go-to Greek restaurant, but restaurant nearby. They have never failed to provide a fantastic, authentic, and fast meal; we’ve had pretty much their entire menu. From delicious Baklava to the falafel, you can’t go wrong with their home-cooked, no-frills, fresh-off-the-grill dishes. Yes they may seem like a small place with a strange grocery store front entrance and out-dated décor, but they’ve got it where it counts!

Not answering the phone at almost 9 pm on a weekday. No hours of operation available anywhere either.

I would call this a fast food version of Greek/Mediterranean food restaurant. The décor is very outdated, old, and dirty. They have lots of seating and even a small market for hooka, tea, tea sets, sauces, species, etc. The food was ok. The best part was how well the lamb tasted — very well seasoned and cooked. The rest of the meal was just ok. Nothing special or noteworthy on the pita bread or salad. The rice was dry and a bit disappointing. 2 out of 5 stars for food quality, and appearance of inside. The customer service was sad too. You a just a number.

WOW, this is about as authentic as you can get! I accidentally stumbled on this place because I was looking for the teriyaki joint — which was previously located there. I’m so glad that I did, this place is legit. I love that they have pictures of their dishes posted all over the place because it’s easier for those who are particular or isn’t familiar with Greek/Mediterranean food. It’s like going to a Chinese restaurant, being Asian myself, I’m still not familiar with all the dishes so I like to point. :) Which guarantees your order. I point to pictures, I point to the wall, I point to other people’s tables… I try to be discreet though. You order at the counter and they had so many options to choose from. We ordered the open faced beef gyro, the combo platter(consist of steak, kofta and chicken), Kofta gyro and a bunch of desserts that will put you in a diabetic coma — no joke. I haven’t seen turkish delights in forever and finally found some there. There’s also a variety of sweets but I could only name the turkish delights and Baklava. I had some picky eaters with me and they all seem to be enjoying their food which makes me happy. The beef gyro was so delicious, it was moist and flavorful. Not too salty — brownie points! Very reasonably price and great food. Lunch specials Mon-Thursday gyros are $ 5.99, not too shabby! I’ll be back.

This place has great halal food. The owner and his son are both very nice people. Try their Sumac Chicken and Gyros, they are really good. Their fries are OK, nothing special. The kofta kabob is also very good. As per as pricing most of the platters and combos are under 10 $, its quite reasonable. They have ample space inside and its quite well maintained. Good people, give this place a shot sometime, if you are craving some halal Mediterranean goodness. Carpe Diem with your taste buds. :-)

My boyfriend and I were looking for a cheap and quick place because we were starving and decided to go here. I would say that this place is pretty good! It’s family run and really laid back. The only problem is that neither one of us were really full by the time we finished.

Once again, Athens Grill knocked it out of the park! I ordered the Sumac Chicken and my dad ordered the kabob plate. Both were amazing and we will definitely be regulars at this establishment! I am full but feel amazing! I recommend everyone try this place!

The only negative I can identify is the cluttered counter and menu. But once you’ve tasted the food and experienced the service you forgive the less than perfect first impression. If every restaurateur in Lawrenceville approached their work with even a small degree of heart this family did, well I don’t know what kind of food revolution would result. Am I being hyperbolic? I guess that’s what happens after a really satisfying dining experience. Go get yourself a gyro.

This place is legit. Authentic food. I am a gyro snob. I love a real, meaty, saucy, good gyro. This place has it. Clean restaurant in quiet location of Sugarloaf and Five Forks. Their other items like the platter dishes are great too. My friends and I go there for dinner and love to just hang around and chat for hours after meal.

I’ve dined in only once and come sometimes to purchase the dried fig grocery products they have here. When I dined in, I got the plate with a gyro, drink, salad, and fries. Everything was on a small foam plate and both of us left still hungry. I thought maybe it was just us or an off day. Now days we just order to go and come home to eat. I only live 5 minutes away and the fries are always hard, cold, and gross. This has happened twice now and it honestly tastes like old fries that have been re-fried. I really suggest the business make sure each plate that leaves their place is fresh versus sending out old fries. Customers will appreciate the extra mile, trust me. So yeah, if you’re taking it to go avoid the fries! The gyros are probably the best in Lawrenceville so I do appreciate that! I’d like to try their pasta and gyro plate!

I have been going here for almost 2 months and my wife and I love it. It has been the best Greek food we have tasted in Gwinnett. The service is quick and the cashier is very nice. I will keep coming as long as the food is good and the service is great. Oh yeah they have an A on their health inspection.

Great consistent Greek and Middle Eastern food! Gyros are the best! Also great desserts including cream puffs and nut rolls.

Delicious! The gyros are good, not greasy like some places. The calzones stack up against any Italian joint. We’ve been here several times. The homemade hummus is awesome. The chicken slouvaki is also excellent.

We all had the gyro and everything was alright. Nothing amazing the deserts wasn’t good, too sweet. So empty. It’s not busy at all so I felt like they should bring the food to us but whatever. I always get full but not on this visit the plates are so small I’m still hungry after food and desert. They didn’t have ice. And the guy was kinda nice. I wouldn’t come back but I mean everyone had their different opinion and mine was I didn’t like it.

Lunch special. Had the gyro and pasta. The gyro tasted fine, a little heavy on the bitterness component. The pasta was pretty solid. Tons of pastries that I wanted to try… but not such a good idea if you’re on a diet!

Decent gyros, ok fries, it’s worth it to pay extra for the Greek potatoes. Nice family run place, hope it sticks around. Still need to try more of their menu items, so I’m rating 3 stars based on the gyro.
