I would give zero stars if I could. I bought a voucher for 4 hours cleaning through Half Depot even though I didn’t need that many. I lived in a two-room condo and due to back surgery, needed someone to help me clean when I moved out. They could have cleaned my place in a hour but like others who reviewed them, they were not reachable via phone or website and did not make this good. Half Depot said they would issue a credit but refuses to refund my money. I’ve been a HD customer for quite a while but I am done with them also. Both companies are big rip-offs.

I purchased two vouchers for house cleaning service(BRIGHTWAYPROPERTYPRESERVATION) from the Half Off Depot website. It’s been almost a month that I’ve tried to reach this company to set up appointments and they cannot be reached – the phone number listed for them is disconnected and their website is disfunctional – no contact information. I have already contacted Half Off Depot requesting a investigation along with a refund. It’s sad that there are those who spend time, money and effort studying ways to rip off people instead of trying to make a honest living. It is my hope that Half Off Depot act fairly and timely regarding this matter, otherwise I most likely will never purchase again from this site because of this experience

We purchased a HalfoffDepot coupon for this cleaning service and have been calling and leaving messages to setup an appointment. and now their mailbox is full. This company is a ripoff and must be avoided at all costs. Severely disappointed. I will be appealing to HalfoffDepot for our refund and my advice for all of you is STAYAWAY!!!

We purchased a Groupon for this cleaning service and do to their checklist on their website had very high expectations that were severely disappointed. After speaking with them on the phone around 11 am on Friday they actually updated their website and removed most of the things that they did not do from their basic cleaning checklist. That makes me extremely upset. I was originally going to give them two stars but I changed it to one after I saw that they changed their list after my complaints instead of actually fixing the problem. So here is our experience with this company. We purchased the Groupon and I called to set up a cleaning appointment. We purchased three two-hour sessions so the lady on the phone asked me how many I wanted to use for the first cleaning. I told her the size of my house and she said two hours would be enough time. They sent one lady to my home, she was there for just under two hours and these are the things she actually did: 1. A poor job vacuuming upstairs and the stair. She did not vacuum the downstairs rug at all. I believe that they must have a very poor-quality vacuum. Since they are claiming to be a professional cleaning company they really need to invest in a quality vacuum cleaner. 2. A mediocre job cleaning the kitchen(I will say that she did clean some food spots off the wall next to my son’s high chair and that was not a task on their list so this is why I almost gave two stars). 3. A poor job cleaning the downstairs bathroom, she did not even touch either of the upstairs bathrooms. 4. Dry mopped hardwood floors. We specifically asked her to dust the ceiling fans and that was on the list and she did not dust ANYTHING. These are the things that were on the website basic cleaning list(before they changed it after our phone calls) that she did NOT perform: 1. Again, nothing was dusted. 2. Baseboards were not cleaned. 3. Ceiling fans, light switches and other light fixtures were not cleaned. 4. BOTH upstairs bathrooms not cleaned at all. 5. Top and outside of appliances/fridge/stove 6. Microwave 7. Window sills 8. Trash was not taken out, trash cans were not cleaned 9. Corners of rooms not cleaned. 10. She did not even make the bed! All housekeepers make beds! Anyway, my husband called and complained and so two days later they sent another cleaner, this time a man. This is what he did to «fix» our previous experience: 1. Cleaned ceiling fans. 2. Did a poor job«cleaning» the upstairs bathrooms. It looked like no cleaning solutions were used and he just wiped down the sink with dry paper towels. The bathtubs were not cleaned. After being«cleaned» by two separate people from this company the only things that looked clean and we were happy with were the wall that she cleaned the food from and the bathroom mirrors. That was it! Not worth paying for. I could do more than that myself during my son’s nap time. I think that with two different cleaner doing a poor job it is safe to assume that the staff is not properly trained. Now, here is my experience on the phone trying to get a refund for my two unused sessions(because obviously I do not want this company back in my home). When I called and explained why I was unhappy with their service I was told that they would have to get back with me on if they would be able to refund me at all and how much they would be willing to refund me and I told them that the service received was unacceptable and that I would take a loss for the one used but that they needed to refund me for the other two. I was then told that they were only supposed to be there for two hours and that it was not enough time. It takes two hours to vacuum? On the phone they told me two hours was enough for a two-bedroom, two and a half bathroom house so they should have honored that or at least done a good job with the few things they did clean in the two hours. Then they said that what I wanted was a deep cleaning and what I paid for was the basic. I wanted what was on the basic cleaning list at the time I purchased the Groupon. Then they told me that they were not able to clean it in that time frame because my house was too dirty. Um, not according to the standards of the first cleaning lady whose first question when she walked into our house was«does anything need to be done in the kitchen?» Um, yes we want the kitchen cleaned. Second question, «is there anything you want me to skip?» Um, no we want the whole house to be clean. Needless to say, we will be appealing to Groupon for our refund and my advice for all of you is STAYAWAY!!!
