Hibachi Express

First time purchasing. Waited 32minutes to get my food. And I didn’t even get the spring rolls that was offering on Unilocal for checking in. Very very disappointed.

Hibachi Express was on my way to work one day and I stopped in to grab a quick bite. I chose the sesame chicken option and it was nothing extraordinary. The inside of the restaurant is basic, but the employees are very nice. The price was right for this meal so I am happy about that. Overall, average takeout Asian food.

Grier and Johnathan did a wonderful job when it came to customer service and getting our orders right THE FIRST TIME! The food was great! Will definitely come back!

I came here when this store first opened and was under different management. I wasn’t a fan of it then, so when I stopped in sometime later, I was curious about what the new management had to offer. What I found was a nice little addition to the strip of restaurants here.
Even though the name is Hibachi, they have a little bit of fusion going on, with some popular dishes you might find in a Chinese restaurant (General Tso’s, sweet and sour chicken, Sesame chicken).
I tried their Hibachi Chicken on my first visit, and the General Tso’s on my most recent visit. Both come with fried rice and a fairly decent size of food, and for the Hibachi meals, you get a nice amount of veggies as well. I thought they both had pretty decent flavor, although I enjoyed the hibachi chicken much more than the General Tso’s.
You can get a meal for right at 6 bucks, and increase your portion sizes or make it a combo by adding a couple more dollars.
There’s a few tables for seating, but it’s not the largest place.
What I like the most is this is one of the only locations near me where they’re still open getting close to 10pm, good if you want a bite to eat in the late evening.
I like the addition of Hibachi Express. It’s cheap, solid food with extended hours and a little bit of variety.

Delicious. Cheap. Good quality chicken. Super fast pick up, they also offer delivery.

Good food at a reasonable price. The service was fast and friendly too. I will be back when in town.

The shrimp lo mein was under $ 8 and a generous amount. I dipped mines in their yum yum sauce. STILL AMAZING. they need so consider bottling their sauce and selling it to major retailers. Yes, it’s that good!

[Location/​Ambiance]: The plaza was pretty filled up that night after a friend’s cousin’s grand opening of the neighboring coffee shop. I’m not sure if this is normal but there’s plenty of parking in the back and mostly pretty lit. Guys, don’t let any girls in your group walk by themselves to their car. As for the inside, various tables for four a littered in the front. The staff is mostly cooking away in the open kitchen. I would say that most people are just getting to go orders as our group was the only ones dining in.
[Service]: This is a casual dining setup, order and pay at the counter and the food will be brought out. Since most patrons are just ordering to go or pick up, service wasn’t really there too much. There are stations for plastic silverware, condiments. Though the chopsticks were located at the ordering counter instead of the service station.
[Food Highlights]:
Sesame chicken — I would say decent. Slightly better than the mall food variety. Nothing different to set it apart from usual fast food chinese/​japanese restaurants. But not bad. Served in a to go container with a generous portion of fried rice.
Teriyaki combination — The steak is very tender, whilst being cut into various cube shapes. Of course I think they would have more portions of the chicken, then steak, then shrimp. The sauce is a little more tangy then I hoped for. It didn’t go so well with the shrimp and steak at all. Solely just the chicken for dipping. Portions for this was generous as I shared it with a friend and we still didn’t finish it.
{Summary}: Cheap eats for decent, above mall food quality.

We love this place!!! It is great quality fast and convenient. My daughter loves the fried rice with extra yum sauce! The staff is very friendly which is a big bonus in my opinion.

I use to like this place but since the new owners have taken over the food is not the same. The service has went downhill from placing a food order to the quality of the food. I will not be going back to this place again.

This restaurant used to be my go to place for lunch. I enjoyed the chicken hibachi with rice. Now, hibachi express has new owners and it is just not the same anymore. They do not deliver anymore, the iced tea is gone, and the person who answers the phone is rude and hard to understand.

The food was wonderful, I ordered chicken hibachi with fried rice and lo mein and it was delicious. I had it delivered and it said it would take 45 – 60 mins but it was here in 20 mins! I love it!!!

I have tried this place 3 different times hoping to get a different result each time but have yet to. The first time I had the shrimp fried rice — shrimp was extremely tiny and there was only a tiny portion and I asked and paid for extra shrimp ! Second time my husband and I both got hibachi doubles — steak was so bland and on top of that, the portions were ridiculous. Third time we split a hibachi triple — chicken was just disgusting, steak still bland, and shrimp — maybe 5 pieces and was the only thing out of the whole meal that we actually ate. There won’t be a fourth try ! Especially cause the delivery driver wasnt there any of the times we ordered !

I love to order from them! Service is fast, place is clean, staff is friendly and food is super delicious, Hibachi dishes are excellent and their yum yum sauce is the best I’ve ever tried. Sizes are huge. You can order online too. Be aware that they are closed on Sundays!
