Lubys Sports Bar & Grill

Came here once to watch a friend of a friends band play. I brought along a few of my friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. The place was very crowded so we spent most of the time out on the patio because it was hard to get through the crowd. Many many jäger bombs later, we went home. Got home and I laughed at my friend for puking in my toilet, then karma struck me down and puked on myself after falling on my ass.

I don’t know if I have ever seen another bar like Luby’s in the metro Atlanta area. Every time I visit this place I wind up having a great time while I hang out with the great crowd that is always in attendance.
What seperates Luby’s from any other bar in the metro Atlanta area is their ability to never underestimate or forget the impact made on customers when they host special drink nights and random event nights.
Fat Tuesdays at Luby’s entices bar patrons to neglect their slumber schedule and go drink at the bar. What surprised me the most about Fat Tuesdays though is the option that Luby’s gives customers to have the mixed drinks served at the bar delivered to their house or apartment?! Talk about a rare service.
Luby’s also offers a wide range of other events including: Game Show Night, Trivia, and live music nights. The bands that usually play at this location are decent, but some of the acts I saw recently left me wondering if the owners even listened to their music before they asked them to come perform.
One of my favorite drink options that Luby’s offers is their tower of power, which is basically very large beer dispenser that resembles a mini-​keg and comes with a stack of plastic cups to make you and your party feel like they are at a college keg party again.
