I always wanted to try one of the cooking classes they have so I finally signed up for a pizza cooking class where they teach how to make three different types of pizza. I think I wouldn’t give it a five star because I had a certain expectation going into the class, especially for the cost of the class. I was expecting to be able to bring some pizza home but that wasn’t the case. Also, you don’t have a hand in every step of the process but this would make sense as some people wouldn’t be able to keep up in terms of finishing within the allotted time. Other than that, I thought the class was very good; the instructor(Derek) was personable and knowledgeable and pizza is not something you cook everyday and we were all able to participate in the important steps in the process. Would take a look at some other courses that you could possibly take but would consider going back for certain classes.

I’ve taken 4 cooking classes — cheese making, pasta making, bread making, and Dinner for 2. Unlike other classes I’ve taken where you mostly observe, this is totally hands on in a beautiful teaching kitchen with personalized attention when ever it was needed. I purchased the cheese making class for 2 as a Mother’s Day gift and went with my mom and it was a lovely evening. I’ve also purchased several items from the clearance areas — great bargains to be found! The store was very neat and organized and the staff exceptionally helpful.

The new manager here, Lauren, is a superb manager, and so easy to work with! She has singlehandedly made this my favorite place to shop, and it is easily the best kitchen store In the area. Returns are easy, and I now have a high-end espresso machine that is fun to own and easy to operate, among other things. This doll of a lady even stops into the store when I am coming in to personally take care of purchases in the works, or special orders! I know I’m gushing, but these days, personalized and knowledgable service is almost impossible to find. Kudos to the store and to Lauren!

Cooking class for a novice like me was a fun activity — we had a blast. Beef, salad dressing, dessert was enjoyable and I hope to do it again.

between the store itself and the cooking classes, sur la table in quakerbridge mall get’s a solid 3.5 stars from me. the store is packed full of fun and unique kitchen gadgets, small appliances, cutlery, etc… and i mean packed! compared to other locations, this store is on the small/cramped side. the staff are pretty busy but helpful when looking for something specific. beware, though– most of the items here are pretty overpriced. if you see something you like, i’d recommend checking into online prices and/or giving homegoods a glance. cooking classes are fun, but again– overpriced. boyfriend and i did a date night class because it was 50% off(making it about $ 34 per person instead of $ 69). it was fun, very hands-on, and the food turned out pretty well. $ 70ish for 2 people made it a fantastic date. not so sure i’d be crazy about it if i’d spent the full $ 140. they do give you a 10% off coupon that you’re able to use in the store that day, or apply to booking a future class. overall, definitely don’t pass up the classes if you catch them on sale… and treat yourself to a full-price class if you’re looking for a fun date!

This is two reviews in one, the store and the cooking camp. The store — love it! i’ts bright, inviting and organized. The staff are well trained and helpful. I had many questions about the selection of espresso machines offered and they had answers without hesitation. Make sure you look for coupons, they seem to always be available. The cooking camp/class — I had two kids enrolled in the summer camp, they had a BLAST! Chef Burt is great; he had control over the group, taught them the science behind the recipes(like why dough rises etc) and respect for the kitchen. He even convinced my picky eater to try guacamole, chickpeas & zucchini!

I have visited Sur la Table in both Quakerbridge and Freehold malls and was very impressed by the service, attitude, selection and prices. I liked them so much, I called the customer service number to complain that such a feel-good experience would endanger my budget. I have not taken any of their classes and can’t comment on them. I will amend my review when I have done so.

Sur La Table is amazing… The store is excellent and they have wonderful classes. My post today will focus on the awesome classes they offer and their ability to host class/parties. Chef Jason will work with you to create a menu for any occasion and then you can invite 10 of your friends for a hands on cooking experience with all the best equipment. You do everything under the guide of Chef Jason and his team. You learn as you go and at the end of the night you have a wonderful meal and no clean up. I think that everyone who attended also had an excellent time :)

Wow, Quakerbridge is really upgrading! …So I went in here to grab a few things and the staff is Very friendly as well as knowledgable. Glad to know I do not need to go to Freehold for products. The Cooking Class area is a nice size too. I’ll be back.

Love the friendly customer service here! They’ve got a variety of coffee an espresso makers that they’re happy to make you samples from, and there are often cooking demonstrations too! A lot like William Sonoma just not as many actual food products, spices, etc.

So excited when this place came in! they do have some unique items. I took their croissant cooking class — not overly impressive, had a hard time working w/my group and the ovens made the criossants not cook properly which really bummed me out. the instructors were ok, had a hard time handling the class. they give you a 10% off your purchase coupon when u take a class to be used as many times w/in the week of the class which is awesome. the store is large and has lots of stuff, organized very well, some high quality things too. went back for the irish cooking class and LOVED it! intsructuros were amamzing, had a wonderful group to work with and all the food: apple parsnip soup, slamon, choc cake and the potatoes came out pretty darn good! got to ask a lot of questions and learned a lot! my only complaint is that it went 1 hr over — they really should start these at 6 instead of 630 because by the time you eat, its 9pm! crazy and i got so hungry during both!
