Like others who enjoy sushi, I thought I’d give this place a try. Visited at 8:00pm on a Friday night and there were many open tables. Not only were we greeted by both servers, but the kitchen crew as well. They serve complimentary edamame to snack on while waiting for your food, which was a very fast wait time. They have a great selection of rolls to chose from. Wanting to try some items native to this place, we got the Five Forks Trickum Roll, which was excellent, as well as three other rolls. After our meal the sushi chefs came to check on us, which was nice. The only thing that was disappointing was how expensive the rolls were and how small they were. We left still a bit hungry… We enjoyed the meal, just not the quantity, unfortunately I won’t be going back for dinner, but I will be willing to try for lunch!

I love sushi so I’m always up for trying new sushi places. I found a great deal on groupon for this place so I decided to give it a try. I went there tonight around 8:30 and the place was pretty dead. There was a total of three other people besides my husband and I in the restaurant. We were greeted immediately by the hostess/waitress and seated promptly. For our appetizers, we had the salad and the miso soup. They were both ok, your standard soup and salad. For our entrees we had 3 different sushi rolls– the rainbow, volcano and jay’s special roll. We also had the steak and scallop hibachi. The sushi here is just ok. I’ve definitely had better rolls elsewhere. The hibachi was decent. What I liked about this place was that the food came out pretty quickly. It could be because they weren’t busy though. While waiting for our food, our waitress brought out complimentary edamame which I thought was a nice touch. Service was great and our waitress was very attentive. Another thing that I liked about this place was that the sushi chef brought out our rolls and checked to see how we were doing. I’m guessing he was the owner? So overall, I’d give 2 stars for the food and 4 for the service= 3 stars. I probably won’t be back though.

My first time here was for a birthday get together. I had the spicy tuna roll(this is the only sushi i eat LOL) and didnt really pay much attention to the food. Went back there last night and had Spicy tuna roll, seaweed salad and miso soup and was very impressed. They bring edamame to your table while you wait for your food yay. That was my 1st time trying seaweed salad and i liked it but was too full from the other items i got. The spicy tuna was really good and so was the miso soup. I only wish it had bigger chunks of tofu. This will become my Gwinnett sushi go to spot from now on! :D

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and I am so glad we listened! The sushi is amazingly fresh and delicious! The staff was so nice and kept bringing us food on the house to try! Everything was amazing! We had an ocean roll and loved it! We had several rolls — the rainbow roll was the best I have ever had! We will be back. In fact, my hubby is headed to do some takeout from there for our Valentine’s Dinner!

Awesome sushi for an affordable price. Although not in an ideal location, this restaurant has great ambiance and even better food. Had a birthday gathering there not too long ago and everything we had was good. If you’re around this area, you’ll definitely want to try this restaurant!

I hosted my fiancé’s birthday party here last weekend where the owner was very accommodating. Even with approximately 20 guests, which took up most of the restaurant, the servers were prompt and friendly. We ordered quite a bit for two people and the food came out very quickly. I had the spicy yaki udon which was very good and a huge portion. I also ordered a black dragon roll which was an eel roll atop avocado and such. The eel was incredibly fresh and thick! I don’t think I’ve ever had eel that thick… My fiancé ordered a volcano roll and something with«ocean» in it. We loved the volcano roll so much, we ordered another. The prices were very reasonable and all of our guests were happy with our restaurant selection. Most sushi rolls were under $ 12 and the size of the rolls do not disappoint. They do not have their liquor or beer/wine license yet but Chef Mike assures they will have it come the new year. As a concession for no alcohol, they offered us complimentary soda! Tucked in a strip mall with a gas station, the restaurant doesn’t look too appetizing. However, when you step in, you get a very quaint but modern ambiance, something very unexpected. The chefs/owners are very interested in your feedback and make an effort to build close customer relations. They have a repeat customer in us!

MUSTTRY! YOUWILLLOVEIT! This place is cute and intimate. It’s a great place to grab authentic sushi without the big city-life crowd. Great place for date night. The service is fast and friendly. The menu has a huge selection of unique sushi rolls that the chef created. I recommend the Five Forks roll, Volcano roll(no like your normal volcano roll), OMG roll, any spicy tuna roll. I had about 5 rolls. It was a lot to eat but soooo good. I couldn’t get enough. The ingredient were fresh and there were plenty of the good combination of seafood in the roll. The price is very reasonable. This place is a must try!

This is a new restaurant on Five Forks near Ronald Reagan Parkway. The prices here are very affordable. At lunch they have a variety of sushi, sashimi, bento boxes and hibachi combinations for $ 7 – 12. It’s nice that every lunch meal comes with salad and miso soup. They do not have the hibachi chefs cooking at the table nor would one expect that from the name. I tried the $ 10.9512-piece sashimi combo and left happy. The sashimi pieces varied from very small to very large but overall are decent for price given the quality of the fish. The presentation was more than I expected and everyone working there was very nice. It probably varies(chef’s choice), but my combo had two each of salmon, tilapia, white tuna, albacore tuna, yellowtail, and ruby red tuna. The tilapia was very thin but thats ok because its my least favorite sashimi fish. The albacore was amazing, the white tuna had green wasabi eggs which made it the best I’ve ever tasted, and the tiny side of spicy squid salad was a good touch. Overall it was a very flavorful meal — the chefs know what they are doing here. If you are really hungry you might need to order a side of rice. I will definitely come back for lunch. They have sushi roll combos where you choose three 4-piece rolls from a large choice of rolls($ 8 or $ 10 depending on the types of rolls). The rolls looked plump and tasty, and this is a neat way to sample the roll menu. Either that or the chirashi because I didn’t get to try the sushi rice. Only Con: the sushi bar is very narrow and not the most comfortable. Actually the bar top is OK but the wall underneath sticks out so there’s very little leg room. Pros: lunch menu, quality, good date spot.
