Had a great experience with Sunny who helped me find a formal dress while I had a 2 year old and 1 month old in tow.

In Lawton I shop at Dillards almost exclusively for clothing and luggage. Unfortunately I tried to return a piece of luggage that was torn, the Samsonite tag says it has a 10 year warranty and Dillards used to be very understanding when someone needed to return items. The yellow proof of purchase sticker was not enough to warrant a valid return. The hard part for me is I already replaced the luggage last week but forgot my torn luggage at home for the exchange so today they looked at me like I was trying to do something wrong. There’s one sales person in the women’s department who is always very gracious and I love shopping with her and giving her my sales. She was not there today. Dillards has quality clothing and quality items just know that their return policy is not a good one, at least not for me.

Please google Dillard’s complaints — I am a citizen BLACK and a degreed professional who was victimized a week ago by Dillard’s Store security. Apparently they«track» people who take too long to shop, pick up several articles at once to take to a dressing room,(as if there are any clerks around to help), or are ethnic, Black etc., and confront them as if they are shoplifting. I won’t shop there anymore since this happened. I was recently in the store looking for a special item with my family. If you have children, especially a six year old, you know letting them pick out or make there own decision can take a while, as little ones are very undecided with decision making. Needless to say, after the decision was made I proceeded to another area for other items. Without a clue security was called and we were being watch and followed! I found this out after the PURCHASE was made! After the transaction My child was carrying the garment as I and my family walked in front of her. At that time two individuals shouted loudly for me to turn around, while another person proceeded as if they were going to reach for me, some announcement went over the loud speaker. Once, I stopped and turned around the two gentlemen that were hot on my tail thinking I had stole something saw my child holding a PURCHASEDDRESSIN A GARMENTBAG!!! Mud in their face!!! Two gentleman, one in plain clothes and another unexperienced new manager where so stunned, while the third person disappeared to who knows where. However, I was publicly confronted and embarrassed! I want to expose any and everyone I can to my situation. I was offered a $ 100.00 gift card the next day from the store manager… JOkE! I declined his offer, returned the $ 200+ dollars of clothes, and refuse to ever shop there again! Please, if you are reading this, especially if you are African-American don’t «waste anymore time or money on these ingrates. After just a brief review of data out there however, it seems that Dillard’s hire police officers who are allowed to harass people. Speak out! I feel people need to be warned about this place. Contact the Attorney General for the state. The don’t expect educated BLACK Americans to shop in these places!

I bought a brooch tonight for my boyfriend’s mom. I spent $ 27.22 for it. This is the fanciest brooch that I have ever bought. I asked the lady ringing me out for a gift receipt, but she said it was too late. She didn’t completely ring me out yet. She said the proof of purchase yellow sticker on the bottom of the box should be sufficient. I continued with the ring out. I was upset with this because she did not even ask me if I wanted a gift receipt. The brooch is in a Christmas theme decorated box. It is of course a gift. Dillard’s is suppose to be a higher end department store, well in Lawton it is the highest end store. I was dissatisfied with the service I got. The teller should have figured out someway to give me a gift receipt. Service is MEH.

Dillards mens department is spot on the best mens store i have ever shopped in. I have bought more than 5 thousand dollars of clothes there ONSALE at their semi annual sales for around 1 thousand dollars. 85 dollar shirts for 7 bucks same with pants and suites. Not so much shoes. they don’t like putting shoes on sale it seems. But clothes. OMG you will lose it if you hit one of their sales at the right time usually in Oct, march time frames. I’m going this weekend.
