PERMANENTLYCLOSED. Sad; loved the food, coffee and atmosphere. Wish I would have had a Unilocal account when the place was open.

An excellent spot to sit down for a cup of coffee in the morning, maybe with a few friends. Great coffee, great atmosphere. Staff is very nice and friendly.

LOCALCOFFEEHOUSE!!! Excellent coffee… complex but very subtle hints of fruit! Tons of flavors of syrups if you are in to it… flavors like rose, jasmine, and lavender along with many, many more !!! Also non dairy options for cream/milk, almond and coconut milk!!! Several non and organic tea options!!! All baked goods are home made and gluten free. ALSO some vegan options! Very good in the several we tried. Will probably go again the next two day of being in town since its so dell-ish-ush !!! Very cool place to sit, relax and enjoy your cup and munch on a treat… Spacious too. 2BIG back rooms with lots of tables and chairs!!! Owner was sweet also and offered a student and military discount!!!

This is such a cute little place to grab a cookie, bar, cupcake, or scone and coffee! My sister, mother and I stopped in mid morning we split a peach scone, brownie bar, and cinnamon roll. All options are gluten free and were delicious. We also purchased 3 almond milk lattes and they were fantastic as well. This is definitely a place we will be coming back to frequently!

Purchased a cappuccino and several cupcakes from here. Cappuccino was subpar(mind you, I’m from the northeast so I’m a little picky with my coffee) and the cupcakes were pretty awful. Perhaps because they were gluten free? Cupcakes were very dry and bland. Only giving two stars because the service was friendly.

So I just found this place today in Lawton. Super friendly staff with a nice selection of drinks. The bakery selection is super delicious and gluten free. I ended up getting a chilled spiced chai and it hit the spot. Just became my new favorite coffee shop here in Lawton. I highly recommend!!!

Hidden gem! I’m new to the area I went here the other day I told the barista the kind of ice coffee/latte I liked and the flavors I like, either vanilla or something with caramel I just wasn’t too sure on what to order she just went ahead and said ok I’ll make you something you’ll like so she did! I loved it was delicious! I love the environment here and it’s a huge place with sofas, chairs, and tables. Wish more people knew about this place because it was really lonely when I went. Try it out!

What a hidden gem! From the outside it just looks like a small establishment… nothing too much to write home about. But when you walk in your get this old world feel… tall ceilings, unique décor and most importantly, a coffee/tea bar with so much charm you won’t want to leave. And on that note, the place has lots of cool seating areas for you to sit with your friends and enjoy your favorite non-alcoholic beverage. And I must not forget, the desserts!!! OMG! I tried the chocolate cheesecake cupcake but their dessert counter had so many delectable treats I wanted to try each and every one. I did sample the lemon bars, by far the best I’ve ever had. Friends, you gotta give this one a shot. I can promise you, you will become a regular.

Every time I enter The Bakery Emporium I am greeted by the wonderful staff. They are friendly and eager to help. I can only say great things about everything I have every eaten from here. You would never know that ALL of her baked goods are gluten free. They taste that good. Who said gluten free had to be boring? Not here! They bake to order, or you can just walk in and grab a treat! Love it!

Innocuous little bakery and coffee shop tucked slightly away from the main road. They brew Intelligentsia coffee which is a huge plus. I went in looking for more substantial food though and was kind of disappointed when I found none. But the disappointment was quickly dissipated with a delicious Cranberry White Chocolate Scone. Lots of space(two huge rooms) to sit and sip. I came alone, but it’d be a great place to spend time catching up with a friend or to get work done. Military and student discounts are offered. Not that that was any use to me, but there’s probably one or two soldiers hanging around Lawton, I guess.

Came here with my husband… both of us are affiliated with the military so we got free teas ^_^… we would have been willing to pay though, Moroccan mint tea tasted just like my dad used to make it :] Also had red velvet cupcake, blue berry pie cupcake, a pumpkin cake, and a fudge brownie. All four were some of the best baked goods I’d ever tasted :) would come here a million times more! Only thing I didn’t like too much was the seating, but it honestly wasn’t that big of a deal. Just seemed like there weren’t enough tables.

Bought cupcakes from here because my sons original cake maker fell through! Stopped by night before the party and picked up 24 cupcakes! Over $ 50 I would think I would be getting at least a little better quality than Walmart, however, I got hard as rock cupcakes that where«pretty» but not at all tasty! I bought the honey vanilla and some type of cherry cupcake. Needless to say only about 4 of them was eating and only for the icing no one ate the cake part, I through away almost all of these cupcakes and I will never shop here again. I am so disappointed.

Whether you eat gluten free or not, you’ll love this place! Being from California, it was such a treat to find a place that brews Intelligentsia coffee… aka some of the best coffee. If you are looking for the best cup of coffee in town. look no further! & the desserts are so tasty, my favorite has been the blueberry muffin. also another +++ they have fresh made bread available thursdays around 2pm AND they are working on making bagels too :) … can’t wait to try it! This place is truly a gem!

My friend is gluten free so we were excited to come here. I’m from Los Angeles and there a lot of gluten free choices around there, but we were surprised to see one in Lawton! Apparently the baked good are all gluten free. BAKEDGOODS Pumpkin bar(3.5 stars): Good pumpkin bar with a not too overpowering icing on top. Could have used a little more pumpkin flavor. Butterscotch English Toffee Cookie(4 stars): Butterscotch was amazing! Didn’t really taste the English toffee flavor. But I did like this more than the pumpkin bar. ATMOSPHERE So much room in this place! When you walk in there’s the bakery to your left where you order coffee drinks/tea and baked goods, and then you can sit in 2 rooms, one to the right and one in the back. The room in the back is cuter than the one you see when you walk in to the right. Both were spacious but the back room felt more home-y and had cute decorations for the holidays. They even have wifi if you want to just hang out or study or get things done. Lots of tables, lots of space. SERVICE It was our first time here so we were confused when we came in. Had to ask a lot of questions… is there food? Which there are pictures on Unilocal for but apparently they don’t serve food anymore, only soup after 1−2PM so that was weird… Are those samples and can I just take them… Is everything gluten free? I thought it was weird there was no sign that said gluten free on the goodies, unless I just didn’t see it. I wish she gave us a run down when we walked in. She was really nice though. PARKING Across from the hotel. It’s in an empty area shopping center with construction going on around it right now. But there’s a parking lot so easy parking.

Ok so some of y’all may know I’m a huge enthusiast, devotee, admirer, lover; supporter, nut, addict, junkie, fanatic, groupie or any other synonym of anything pie(greatest food delivery platform) or pie related. So this morning laying around watching some Netflix and realizing I had a couple hours to kill before work I headed out on my perilous mission from God to find a little piece of pie to satisfy my craving. Low and behold I venture to The Bakery Emporium after hearing about it on this forum. While still not completely awake I venture through the doors of course my style was to get confused by the«in» and«out» signs on the door but managed to find my way in then distracted by the beware of air pirates sign evoking a slight chuckle. I gaze around and see the display, I try to breath and slow my pulse and take in my surroundings by admiring the large seating area with high top and low tables looking very inviting. I move like an animal stalking it’s prey towards the display and see the holy grail(read greatest pie ever) on the third shelf to the left. Success! I was just behind a lady that was being helped so I had to breath and remember this gave me time to examine the rest of the display. From pies to scones, brownies to lemon bars everything made me slightly more ravenous. So I fought my urge to buy one of everything, probably to the dismay of the proprietor. The young lady behind the counter came over and helped with my mission and asked for my order with a great smile as well a happy heart. Of course with any great food one must have a drink. Let me rest your mind that a plethora of hot, cold, caffeinated and not sure who would want it but decaffeinated options are available. The young lady helped me pick out a good pair with a macadamia latte which was very tasty. My only fault would be the drink was cooler than what I would expect for a hot latte, not enough for me to ask the lady that I assume to owner for a new one. Have I mentioned that this place is huge? Well there is what I thought was a large room to the right when you enter the establishment, but there’s more! To the back there is a grand room with high, low table options, couch seemed to have some games around as well wifi. The décor was inviting and music was also heard not too loud but enough for my horrible hearing to make out and not be frustrated. So all in all I found this place to be my new spot to fill my pie addiction as well a place to go sit around and socialize with friends and family. If the latter ever come out to visit. If anyone ever finds themselves going alone, hit me up I’ll tag along!!! Oh for you military people out there make sure to talk to them seem to have a very generous program in place for us!!!

My mother and I ordered a very expensive $ 100 custom cake here for an event. The morning of the event about an hour before we were supposed to pick up the cake they call to say first they messed it up and instead of one cake of two flavors it was two. Instead of remaking it as we had ordered(which is what I asked for, it shouldn’t be too much for someone to actually do their job), I was given the option of taking the two cakes as is or they would just push them together and try to re-ice it where the cakes met and have duplicate designs side by side, instead of the one large one we ordered. We agreed to the two cakes for a discounted price. Also apparently they hadn’t ordered enough supplies to finish decorating them like we discussed for the large cake so it would take and hour or two longer to be ready. When we finally picked up the cake it looked like a 5 year old decorated it and they couldn’t tell us the flavors of each cake, they didn’t bother to mark the boxes. The«discount» for all of their mess ups and the extra time was a joke of 10 percent off, but we paid it because the event was starting in an hour and we had no other option. At the event we cut open the cakes to find out they were both so dry they literally crumbled apart. Our guests ate maybe a bite of their piece before politely throwing it away. I couldn’t eat it because of how dried out and flavorless it was. I was truly embarrassed to have it at our event and I cannot believe we paid $ 90 for a poorly designed, horribly executed, dried out cake that was inedible and ended up in the trash. I have no idea how this bakery is still in business with the horrible product and service that I experienced. If you are looking for a custom cake go anywhere else. Walmart has better service and quality cakes than this place.

As a person from the Pacific NW, I’m quite picky about my coffee. They serve INTELLIGENTSIACOFFEE, all their sugar-free syrups are sweetened with stevia & they offer almond milk too!!! I would say their 10 oz sized coffees taste the best. The16 oz isn’t quite strong enough in flavor(coffee wise) or sweetness when having a flavored drink. I also prefer their cappuccinos over their lattes, which tend to be a little«too» milky. However with all that said, it’s by far a great coffee place. Their pastries are AMAZING, I’m a huge fan of their Mint Andes Cookies! And although I’m not gluten-intolerant, I love that they do this, and honestly, if no one told you, you wouldn’t be able to tell at all – it all tastes YUMMY! Another plus – everything is made with natural ingredients… no junk, nothing artificial, so you gotta love that!!! One note of needed improvement: They sometimes run out of menu items, but I think that’s just the nature of starting a new business, which I see them figuring out once they’ve been open for a month or two.

A standout idea in Lawton and the surrounding area. A small menu of foods, a larger menu for drinks, and a revolving menu for gluten free baked goods, all packaged in an open, inviting space. I started just with cappuccino and a snickerdoodle cookie. The coffee was good, strong, but not burnt, and the barista managed to get a good foam going with the almond milk I’d requested. I brought a few chocolate chip cookies home for my men, who declared that I could bring them cookies from the bakery any time I wanted. My picky child detected no strange texture or taste from the gluten free goodies, and my husband thought that the chip ratio was just right. Fast forward a few weeks and I’ve tried just about everything on the menu. I am particularly fond of their soups. The choices change each day, but always include a vegetarian option. At this moment, I am most fond of the tomato basil. My husband ordered it with a slice of their delicious pumpkin bread, and was a happy, full man. There are a few issues still being sorted in terms of service. Nothing out of the norm for a business open less than a month. I have already seen improvement, and know that this group of people takes action when bumpy moments are mentioned. They are also happy to listen to suggestions for both food an entertainment possibilities. Speaking of which, they currently have a «Magic, the Gathering» game night on Mondays and family friendly karaōke on Fridays, as well as live music from time to time. The Bakery Emporium is a charming spot to visit. I know I’ll be back soon.
