We’ve been twice and we love this place. Pretty much everything you need. Cooking out every night, even in the summer, was bearable thanks to a nice evening breeze. As much as I love this place I hate telling you about it as it seems to be a hidden gem. But then again we stayed Mon-​Thurs so maybe it does get full over the weekend. Either way there are only 8 or so cabins.

Midland, TX
This is what you might call a «diamond in the rough.» We’ve been there twice and LOVE it! The cabins are furnished with everything you need except toiletries & some items for cooking (condiments, food). We love the rustic feel, and especially the swimming hole! If you want to go «off the grid,» it’s perfect. They do have internet in the cabins but no tv — and only minimal cell reception is with AT&T. But this place makes it so easy to forget the rest of the world & simply relax!
If you have a small family, the one bedroom smaller cabins are ideal, which is where we stayed the first time. This time we stayed with another couple in one of the two bedroom cabins & had plenty of space with 4 adults & 3 kids. Tell Butch the Disney’s sent you! :)
